A Guide for The Spirit Filled…

It’s written in Isaiah you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. Now the words “led forth” are very interesting in Hebrew, the word is Yabal. It means you’re led forth of God.

Yabal also means to flow. The Spirit is likened to water and that flows. So when you’re living in the Spirit, being led by God you’re going to flow.

What about you? Is your life characterized by flowing or is it being driven and pressed, rushing and running, but you’re not being led? Anger has no flow, jealousy has no flow, fear has no flow, and depression has no flow.

But if you’re led by God then you’ve got Yabal. Then you’ve got the quality of flowing. You see love flows, faith flows, mercy flows, kindness flows, and joy flows. That’s how you’re to go out in your life: to be flowing in the spirit.

Stop being driven my friend. Start being led. Take a break and be led because when you’re led by the Spirit your life will flow like a river. Then you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.

Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever. Isaiah 55:13

Seek today to be led by the flow of the Spirit at all times, not driven, not forced, but flowing.

The Priest’s Crown & Your Life

The Priest’s Crown & Your Life…

In Hebrew the way you communicate ownership is by using the word “to”. The high priest of Israel wore a crown on which were the words Kadosh L’Adonai – Holy to the Lord.

That means that the high priest was not only holy, but he belonged to the Lord. He was the Lord’s possession. He didn’t belong to himself.

The Bible says that you are a royal priest. Thus, everything in your life belongs to God – your possessions, your resources, your time, your abilities, your money. Everything – to the Lord.

That also means you don’t own any more worries or burdens or problems. Start living as a royal priest that God called you to be. Put on the crown, give everything to the Lord.

One thing you would have is God Himself and all His blessings. It all begins when you put on the sacred crown that reads, Kadosh L’Adonai.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

As a royal priest, give to the King of kings and Lord of lords your highest praise today.

Uncovering His Feet

Uncovering His Feet…

Ruth, the Moabite, goes down to the threshing floor and finds Boaz sleeping there. She lies down next to him. She uncovers his feet.

Now this is a bold thing to do. She is a gentile, outcast, and has no right. He’s startled and wakes up and says, “Who are you?” She says, “I am Ruth, spread your garment over me because you are a kinsman redeemer.” He spreads his garment and that means that she is covered and becomes his wife, and he becomes her husband.

A beautiful story. It’s a real lesson about you and Jesus, because we are Ruth, we are outcasts. We need to come boldly to Him, especially when we have fallen, when we have messed up in sin. But by His mercy we can receive His grace.

Be strong about reaching out to His goodness and pulling it over your life, and asking Him, “Cover me Lord, because You are my Redeemer.” And by His grace He will gladly cover you with His love. But it all begins with a bold footmove.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Don’t hesitate to come boldly before God today with your requests.

The Jordan Descender

The Jordan Descender…

In Matthew 16, Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” “The Son of the Living God,” Peter answered. In other words you have come from God, you proceeded from the living God.

That’s a radical statement, but there is also something in it – where this was said. This was said in Caesarea Philippi which is called Vanyas.

The word “Jordan,” is called the Yarden in Hebrew, which means to descend, it means the descender, it comes down, it goes down the mountain and finally into the Dead Sea.

What a picture because that’s an incredible picture of Jesus. He is the descender. He is the one who came from heaven and poured Himself out and descended to death, to humiliation, to all these things because of you.

Who is Jesus? He is the one who has come down. He will come to you no matter what you are stuck in, no matter how deep the pit, He will come. He is the Son of the Living God who comes down into your life from the heights to the deepest pit of your heart.

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. Luke 1:32

Ask, seek, look for, and let God come down to where you are today – no matter the situation.

A Tour of The Promised Land…

Yad Vashem is the memorial to the Holocaust. Inside it is very moving, sorrowful and a dark place never to forget. When you leave, you walk outside and the sun is shining, there are birds and grass, towns and villages, mountains and little children, laughter and life.

Inside Israel, there is Yad Vashem, but outside Yad Vashem there is an Israel. The amazing thing about Jewish history is not the Holocaust, but that for 4,000 years God has preserved them.

It is alive and filled with children in the streets, like the prophet said. God never denies the existence of evil, but He overcomes it. You might have a big problem in your life. Maybe a sorrow, darkness or tragedy and you are spending your time dwelling inside that problem.

The thing is that outside of your problem is your life and walk with God that surrounds your problem. Step outside and dwell in the mercy and love of God.

The bigger picture is that His kindness, love and His goodness are far bigger than that problem. Outside of your problem, there is the love of God.

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19

Come before God today, relinquish your problems and allow yourself to bask in His love.

The Gospel of The Moons…

In the Bible, the full moon marks key dates on the ancient calendar. The full moon fell in the middle of the month so it was the fullness of the moon in the fullness of the month.

In the Hebrew marriage, the groom visits the house of the bride, gives her a gift, pledges his love for her and her to him. They share a cup of the covenant together under the full moon. It is called the kiddushin, the betrothal.

The groom pledged his life to the bride, she received the pledge, and gave her pledge to him, under the full moon shared in the cup of the covenant.

Jesus gave us a cup of the covenant at the last supper. He died, gave His life on the cross on Passover, the 14th and 15th of Nissan, which was the night of the full moon. He died and was buried under a full moon.

He is the bridegroom. The Bridegroom, Yeshua, pledges His life. He has given His pledge to you. How do you respond? You pledge yourself, your love and your all.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

The Angelic Day

The Angelic Day…

You have heard of the angels Gabriel and Michael, but have you heard of the other angels? Do you know that you are supposed to be an angel?

The Hebrew word in the Bible for angel is Malachi and the Greek word is Angelos. John the Baptist is called an angelos and Haggis is called a Malachi or angel. Why?

Because an angel simply defined is a messenger of God. In fact, the word evangelist has the word angel in the middle. Someone who carries the gospel or message of God is like an angel. Living an angelic life or like an angel conjures up an image of one working for heaven, not earth.

Angels do not seek to be paid on earth. That would make them from earth then. You are not on an assignment for God when you seek the pay, praise, and appreciation from others.

To live an angelic life, seek your praise from God; you are working for heaven. Your paycheck is angelic so seek your reward with Him. You are on an assignment for Him, an angel in disguise.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Help someone today without desiring any praise or recognition.

The Mystery of Love…

This is a true story of Richard Wurmbrand, a believer who was imprisoned for his faith in communist prisons in Romania. There was a young man named Vasilescu, a criminal in Romania, who was put in charge by the communists to torture the ministers whom they had imprisoned for their faith.

Then the communists turned against Vasilescu. They put him in prison and tormented him until he was dying. As he was dying, at the same time, the one who he had tortured the most, a minister named Iscu was also dying.

But now Vasilescu was filled with remorse. He asks Isku to pray for him and wanted God’s forgiveness. The minister called two prisoners to bring him to Vasilescu’s bed. There, the one who was tortured ministered to the one who had tortured him.

He said, “If Jesus could forgive me, then I must forgive you. If I can forgive you, then Jesus who is greater than me also forgives you.” If this one who was tortured could forgive his torturer, so can you forgive that one who has sinned against you. That’s the love of God.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

His Mercy – The Womb

His Mercy – The Womb…

In John 3, Jesus says to Nicodemus, “You must be born again.” Nicodemus says, “But how can I? Can a man go back into his mother’s womb and be born?”

The word for womb is rechem. That’s also the word from which we get the word mercy, racham or rachamim. Rechem is linked to the womb and the womb is linked to mercy. Nicodemus is saying how can a man go back to his mother’s womb.

You can’t do that; the womb is the beginning place. There is nothing before the womb. But it’s such a beautiful picture of God’s mercy, a rechem. You can’t enter a womb, but you can enter God’s mercy, His rechem, His rachamim. God’s mercy is like a womb that brings forth a new birth. Everything becomes new in God’s mercy.

You become born again, and sins are washed away. There is no past. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done; God’s mercy is the rechem that makes all things completely new. And you can’t go back into the past, because you can enter the rechem, the womb of God’s mercy, and which all things are new like a newborn baby.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Enter into the racham of God, as if entering a womb, let everything become new in His mercy.

Under The Huppah

Under The Huppah…

In the Jewish marriage, the wedding, the bridegroom’s garment is crucial. It’s needed for the marriage to be complete. The orthodox Jewish man will drape his prayer cloth (tallit) over his bride so she will be covered.

They will both be covered and are both under the cover of the chuppah, the wedding canopy; a similar principle, that the bride must be covered by the bridegroom’s garment.

Now, Jesus is called the bridegroom. When He died, he was naked. Why? Where was His garment? He is the bridegroom, so His garment is that of the groom. Because He didn’t have His garment, it’s somewhere else. It’s on the bride.

The garment of Jesus and the mantle of Jesus are covering us. Because He was naked, it means you are not anymore. It means you are covered with shalom and with the bridegroom’s righteousness and with His love.

You are covered with the Bridegroom’s power, purity, beauty and glory. Rejoice in your Bridegroom because you are covered right now with the garment of your Beloved – the garment of the Bridegroom.

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10

Before going out in the world today, dress up in God’s best. Put on His covering of love, power, beauty and don’t be ashamed.
