The Jordan Descender

The Jordan Descender…

In Matthew 16, Jesus asked, “Who do you say I am?” “The Son of the Living God,” Peter answered. In other words you have come from God, you proceeded from the living God.

That’s a radical statement, but there is also something in it – where this was said. This was said in Caesarea Philippi which is called Vanyas.

The word “Jordan,” is called the Yarden in Hebrew, which means to descend, it means the descender, it comes down, it goes down the mountain and finally into the Dead Sea.

What a picture because that’s an incredible picture of Jesus. He is the descender. He is the one who came from heaven and poured Himself out and descended to death, to humiliation, to all these things because of you.

Who is Jesus? He is the one who has come down. He will come to you no matter what you are stuck in, no matter how deep the pit, He will come. He is the Son of the Living God who comes down into your life from the heights to the deepest pit of your heart.

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. Luke 1:32

Ask, seek, look for, and let God come down to where you are today – no matter the situation.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,
