Hope

26 Feb

Faith, Hope and Love are the center of our life, the greatest being Love. I have written about Love and Faith a lot.Today I will talk about Hope.

To me Hope makes the world go on, for without it life just doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t want to envision life without some sign of hope.

It is my belief that hope begins with God. I believe that there is no true, lasting hope in this world without God. God who made us. God who loves us. God who wants to give meaning and purpose to each of our lives.

If you’ve tried to make it without God, you probably know how frustrating it can be. Without God’s power, we have no hope of overcoming our struggles. Without God’s mercy, we have no hope of overcoming our past. Without the meaning that God gives to life, without the sense of purpose that He provides, we have no hope of overcoming the problems that life presents. While we certainly don’t know everything about God, we can learn a lot about God by looking at what He has done and continues to do everyday.

He created this world and everything in it, which shows us that He is life-giving. This world was created in such a way that life can be sustained, this shows a loving nature. God’s revealed word, the Bible, tells us that God has continually called people to be in relationship with him. He is not an aloof God, but one who desires to interact with his creation. God has told us the things that are necessary to be done to be in relationship with Him.

These are not arbitrary rules and regulations, but things that actually work for our good. We also see in the Bible that God made promises, and He always kept His promises. Some of those promises concern things that are still in the future, and we believe that God will continue to keep His promises. He has promised that He will do things for us in this life and that when this life is over, He will provide a life for us that will have no end. Our belief in God and our trust in His promises fill our lives with hope. God wants to be in a relationship with us.

Today, He wants us to talk with Him every day. He wants to provide what we need for this life and eventually provide us with a life that doesn’t end. What better hope could there be?

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Life is a gift…

26 Feb

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her living boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, “If I could only see the world, I will marry you.”

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sign of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected that . The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: “Take good care of your eyes, my dear, before they were yours they were mine. I have seen the glory of God for years and am glad to have given you the chance to see His glory also. I have everlasting memories of His glory to reflect on and now you can build memories for yourself. Enjoy and be happy for I am happy for you.”

Life is full of challenges and how we handle those challenges define us. God places these life challenges in front of us for a reason, they not only help us to grow they spread His glory for all to see. So when you are faced with a life challenge, don’t be weary, rejoice and make the most of it growing stronger in His glory and blessings.

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations. We are only human, correct, but so many times we speak without taking the time to think. Why is it that people only think of themselves without concern for anyone else? This often causes much more pain. So let us all rememnber:

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word–

think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food–

think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife–

think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life–

think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children–

think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–

think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive–

think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job–

think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–

remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–

put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Walk daily with God at your side!

A Little More Love

13 Feb

When Jesus commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves and as He has loved us I don’t think he was just referring to the neighborhood or something across the street. He was telling us to love all as He loved us and to teach this love to all we meet. This is not much to ask for all He has given us.

Yet it is apparent that more and more people have taken the attitude that if you don’t agree with them you must be the opposition. This my way or the highway posture is exactly what has divided our country, and it is getting worse rather than better.

I’m even seeing it in the churches and on social media posts from many Christian’s some of them church leaders. In my opinion they should be held to a higher standard as they set the example for the congregation.

If we are to heal this divide, we need to share His love with everyone. We need to accept the diversity of the world, realizing not everyone thinks the same as we do and that we aren’t always right. It will take just a little more love and a lot more patience. Imagine the wonderful things that could happen if everyone just shared a little more love and hope with each other.

With just a little more effort on. our part we can change the world for so many, giving them hope which in turn will give them love to share and on and on. What a beautiful way to bring peace to our divided nation.

Love shared with others is contagious and can spread across the country and world bring hope to all it touches. Will you do your part to spread the love?

Walk daily with God at your side!

On Higher Ground

5 Feb
  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining every day;
    Still praying as I’m onward bound,
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

    • Refrain:Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
      By faith, on Heaven’s tableland,
      A higher plane than I have found;
      Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
  2. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where those abound,
    My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
  3. I want to live above the world,
    Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
    For faith has caught the joyful sound,
    The song of saints on higher ground.
  4. I want to scale the utmost height
    And catch a gleam of glory bright;
    But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found,
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
  5. Johnson Oatman 1898

    Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

    I recently heard the classic old hymn, “HIGHER GROUND,” which prompted me to write this post, because we are supposed to be moving higher-and-higher in our walk with God each passing year. Are we closer to God today than we were a year ago? Are we as concerned about bringing lost souls to Jesus today as we were a year ago? Are we pressing on the upward way, new heights I’m gaining every day, still praying as I’m onward bound, Lord plant my feet on higher ground? …

    It is my prayer to be more for God today than I was yesterday. May every day find us a better person. As Benjamin Franklin wisely said, “Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbours, and may every year find you a better man.” Unfortunately, Benjamin Franklin died a sinner’s death, having openly rejected Christ’s deity and the gospel.

    Walk daily with God at your side!

    Love always,
