A Talk With The Father

12 Nov

The other day I had a chance to have a sit down for a face to face conversation with the Father. I had asked for the time because I had several questions about religion and He was the only one who could answer them.

To begin, we have about 4200 different religions in our world and all of them worship or answer to a Supreme being or God. So how do we know which is the right one? So I asked Father about religion and which was the right one.

His answer surprised me some, but as I thought about it, I began to understand what He was saying. He said “I have a problem with religion because it is so regimented and this regementation places shadows on what it is striving to achieve. When I gave my only begotten Son to redeem believers, He had only two commands for the church. Love your neighbor as I have loved you and put no other God before me.” Then He added “The Church consists of believers who love and help each other and all they come across. This happens all around the world and in all religions. With all the different religions in the world there is one common core and that is love. The people around the world are one church.”

So I asked if all we have to do is love each other and lend a helping hand, why is it we as a world can’t achieve a meaningful peace? He answered “Freewill, I gave you all the right to choose what is right or wrong for you, but it turned out that many felt their right was better than yours and here comes a dispute. Institutions were formed and fear took the place of love. Security was formed to protect you from fear and on and on. It is all false because if everyone respected the choice of the other there would be no fear, no war and no need for security.”

I came away from our talk with two revelations: One as children of God we are to love each other as ourself and as He loved us. Two, we are to serve all as equal in His name lending a helping hand as needed. That means putting others ahead of ourselves. That is what He wants and expects from us.There may be 4200 different religions in our world, but there is only one God!

This will probably upset a lot of people, but all are equal in God’s eyes.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed
