The Portable Mountaintop…

God appeared to Moses on Mt. Sinai with a cloud and thunder and the sound of trumpets. The glory of God was there on that mountaintop. God told Moses to go down the mountain, to leave the mountaintop… but not to the leave the glory. But how?

God told him to make a tent when he got down, to set it up in the valley. And there in the tent, God would come down to dwell with them in the valley, all the time. This is a profound secret. God wants you to learn the secret of having a glorious life at all times.

The way to do it is simple: build yourself a tent of meeting, a place in which you and God can meet every day. Enter into your tent of meeting and spend it in communion with the Lord.

It doesn’t matter if you’re going through a good time or a bad time, you will bring the mountaintop with you every day, and the glory of God will dwell with you, and your life will be from glory to glory. So build your tent, for with God, all the mountaintops are portable.

The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up  Exodus 19:20

Starting today, find an unoccupied space and build your own personal “tent of meeting”. Look forward to the glorious time that you will spend with God there.
