Strength and Encouragement

18 May

Strength and Encouragement…

Good morning to everyone!!

Today, let’s find strength and encouragement in Psalm 27:14 and trust in God’s perfect timing.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.Β Β  Psalm 27:14

Ever feel like life’s on fast-forward, and you’re just trying to keep up? We want answers now, solutions now, results now. But God, in His wisdom, often asks us to wait.

Psalm 27:14 doesn’t tell us to twiddle our thumbs, though. It calls us to an active, hopeful kind of waiting. This means trusting in God’s timing, even when it feels like a lifetime. It means holding onto hope, even when discouragement knocks.

Waiting isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be empty. It’s a chance to align our hearts with God’s, to seek His face, and truly listen to His voice. It’s trusting that He’s working behind the scenes, even when we can’t see the results yet.

And here’s the amazing thing: as we wait, God renews us. He gives us fresh strength, a new perspective, and a deeper faith.

So if you’re in a waiting season, take heart. Don’t give up. God’s timing is perfect, and as you wait for Him, He’ll fill you with the strength and peace you need.

What areas in life are you struggling to surrender to God’s timing?Β  How can you find strength and hope in the waiting? Ask yourself these questions and listen carefully to His answer.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

Dear God, life moves so fast, and waiting is hard. But I know Your timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t match my own. Help me trade my anxiety for patience and my doubts for trust. Remind me that You’re always working behind the scenes, weaving together a beautiful tapestry even when I can’t see the whole picture. Breathe Your peace into my restless heart, and give me the courage to embrace this season of waiting. In Jesus name’ I pray, Amen.

The Specificity Factor

18 May

The Specificity Factor…

Most believers say they believe that God can do anything. After all, He’s God. But truthfully, most believers don’t really believe God can do anything.

When anything becomes a particular problem or need we’re dealing with, then our anything faith goes out the window. God can not do anything because anything is generic and vague and doesn’t mean anything.

He doesn’t do things vaguely and generically. He doesn’t do just anything. He answers real and specific problems with real and specific answers, fulfillments, and miracles. He won’t deal with just anything, He’ll deal with specific things – needs, problems, troubles, or gaps in our lives.

If you want to see God do something, stop saying God can do anything and get real. Let Him do one thing. Get specific. Start praying specific prayers. Start bringing Him that specific problem or need in your life, that specific gap in your heart.

Start believing specifically for that one thing with specific faith. Forget anything and start with that one thing. Get real with God, and God will give you a life that’s really something.

Now to him, who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

Today, get specific with the Lord. Get specific with the Word, specific with your obedience, specific with serving Him, specific with a specific good work. Be specific!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Go and Spread The Gospel

17 May

Go and Spread The Gospel…

Today, let’s embrace our identity as ambassadors of Christ, commissioned to share His love and truth with a world in need.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:19

Imagine you’re one of the disciples, standing on that mountain in Galilee, hanging onto every word from the resurrected Savior. And then, Jesus gives you your marching orders: “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Those words aren’t just for the eleven men standing there. They’re for you and me. They’re our mission, our purpose, our calling. Jesus is inviting us to be a part of something far bigger than ourselves – the expansion of His Kingdom to the ends of the earth!

But how do we do that? By sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us. By teaching them what it means to follow Christ in every area of their lives. By baptizing them into a new life and a new identity in Him.

It sounds daunting, doesn’t it? But here’s the beauty of it: we don’t go alone. Jesus promises to be with us every step of the way, empowering us with His Spirit, guiding us with His wisdom.

Today, let’s embrace our calling as disciple-makers. Let’s look for opportunities to share Christ’s love with those around us and invite people into the abundant life of following Jesus. For there is no greater joy, no greater purpose, than joining in God’s mission of making disciples of all nations.

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.Β  2 Timothy 2:1-2

Heavenly Father, today, I’m ready to answer Your call to make disciples. Fill my heart with love and compassion for those who need to know You. Give me the courage to share the good news of Jesus, the wisdom to teach His ways, and the humility to follow His example. Walk with me and empower me with Your Spirit, guiding my actions and words. Let my life reflect Your grace and draw others to the joy of knowing Your Son.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are all missionaries. Wherever we go, we either bring people nearer to Christ or we repel them from Christ. Something to think about.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Overcoming Fear

17 May

Overcoming Fear…

The biblical Hebrew word for fight is Lakham. When the Jewish people came back to the land of Israel, they had to quickly organize an army for the first time in over 2000 years and learn to fight. It turned out to be one of the most effective and powerful fighting forces in history.

You may not be a fighter in the natural realm, but in the spiritual realm you cannot be a pacifist. You have to fight. If you’re a child of light, you have to stand against the darkness. If you don’t fight back, you’ll lose because you’re already in a fight.

Your enemy attacks your faith, your joy, your love, and your relationship with God. The soldier who doesn’t realize he’s in a battle is a sitting duck for the enemy. Don’t be a sitting duck. Fight back- not against people, but against darkness. Fight the good fight of faith, love, joy, truth, righteousness, and hope.

Stop living on the defensive and start overcoming. Put up your spiritual fists and come out swinging. You’re on the winning side, but you can’t win if you don’t fight.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.Β  2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Don’t fear the battle – embrace it, in the confidence and power of the Lord who guarantees you the victory.

Walk daily with God at your side!

A Little Humility

16 May

A Little Humility…

Let’s start this day by diving into the profound wisdom found in Proverbs 11:2. This short yet powerful verse offers a timeless principle that can transform our lives if we take it to heart.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.Β Β  Proverbs 11:2

In a world that often celebrates self-promotion and arrogance, Proverbs 11:2 offers a counter-cultural perspective. It reminds us that pride, while tempting, is ultimately a path to disgrace. In contrast, humility, though often undervalued, is the key to true wisdom.

Pride can be sneaky. It can disguise itself as confidence, ambition, or even success. But at its core, pride is a dangerous illusion. It makes us believe that we are self-sufficient, that we don’t need God or others. It blinds us to our own weaknesses and mistakes, setting us up for a fall.

Humility, on the other hand, is the antidote to pride. It’s not about thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less. It’s recognizing that all we have and all we are is a gift from God. It’s being open to learning, to correction, and to the wisdom of others.

When we embrace humility, we position ourselves to receive God’s wisdom. We acknowledge our need for His guidance and strength. We become teachable, moldable, and usable in His hands.

So today, let’s choose the path of humility. Let’s lay down our pride and invite God to shape us with His wisdom. In a world that shouts,’Look at me!’, let’s whisper ‘Look at Him’. For it’s in the quiet posture of humility that we find true wisdom, purpose, and grace.

Practicing humility means that we never think of ourselves as greater than God, but instead as His obedient and lowly servant.Β  Romans 12:3

Dear Lord, In a world that often values self-promotion, help me to choose the path of humility. Remind me that all I have and all I am is a gift from You. Strip away any pride that blinds me to my need for Your guidance and strength. Fill me with Your wisdom and grace. Make me teachable, open to learning, and ready to serve others. Let my life reflect Your love and truth. In every moment, may I point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.

The Prince Of Shalom

16 May

The Prince Of Shalom…

Isaiah 9:6 calls Messiah Sar Shalom, the Prince or Ruler of Peace, but shalom means more than peace. It means completion, fulfillment, well being, wholeness, and prosperity. It also means hello and goodbye.

Sar Shalom could also be interpreted as The Goodbye Prince. Jesus came first to make an end of what is old. He gives us the power to say goodbye to our sins and the old life. When Jesus said, “Follow me,” the first thing they had to do was say shalom to their old way of life.

Only then could they be free to receive the blessings of shalom in the Prince of Shalom. The first call He gives to all His disciples is to say shalom to the old.

If you want the blessings of shalom, completeness, wholeness, prosperity, well being, peace, and fulfillment in your life, you have to say goodbye to the old way of thinking and being. Bid it shalom.

He’s the Prince of Shalom. He’ll give you the power to say goodbye. In the Goodbye Prince, you’ll find peace and all the blessings of shalom because shalom begins when you say goodbye.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.Β  Philippians 3:13-14

Say shalom, goodbye, to that sin in your life today and receive the perfect Shalom of the Prince of Peace.

Love always,

Grace Grace God’s Grace

15 May

Grace Grace God’s Grace…

Today, remember – your struggles are just a chapter, not the whole story. Cling to the hope that the God of all grace will restore and redeem, writing beautiful chapters ahead.

And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.Β  1 Peter 5:10

In the grand narrative of our lives, suffering is an inevitable chapter. It’s a plot twist that can leave us feeling disoriented, wondering how the story could possibly end well. But 1 Peter 5:10 offers us a perspective that changes everything.

Yes, we will suffer for a little while. But this verse reminds us that our suffering is not the defining theme of our lives. It’s a page, not the whole book. And the Author? He’s the God of all grace.

This grace isn’t a weak wish or a trite platitude. It’s a transformative force that meets us in our deepest pain and whispers, “This isn’t the end.” It’s the grace that called us to eternal glory in Christ, and it’s the same grace that will carry us there.

And here’s the stunning promise: after we have suffered, God Himself will restore us. He will take the broken chapters of our lives and weave them into a story of redemption, strength, and unshakable hope. Our pain will become a platform for His power.

So today, if you find yourself in a season of suffering, remember this: your story isn’t over. The God of all grace is still writing, still working, still restoring. Trust in His unfailing love, lean into His promise, and let hope rise. The best chapters are yet to come.

But he said to me, β€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.Β  2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Dear God, when I’m in the midst of suffering, remind me that this is just one chapter of my story, not the whole book. Help me to trust that You are turning my pain into something beautiful. When I feel lost and overwhelmed, fill my heart with Your peace and hope. Thank You for being with me, restoring me, and writing the best chapters yet to come. I trust in Your unfailing love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay strong! Your test will become your testimony, and your mess will become your message.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Living The Miracle

15 May

Living The Miracle…

Pele is the Hebrew word for miracles. Some people are skeptical of the miracles of the Bible. In the story of Peter Pan, a boy appears in people’s bedrooms with a tiny winged woman, and they just accept it.

In real life, you wouldn’t think it was fine, you’d call the police or child services. In the Bible, when a miracle happened or an angel of the Lord appeared, the people to whom the miracle happened didn’t carry on as usual.

They fell on their faces, trembled in fear, froze, bowed down, were overcome with joy, or questioned it. They did exactly what a 21st century skeptic would do if confronted with a real miracle.

The reality of miracles isn’t Never-Never Land or some lady on strings pretending to be Peter Pan, but real divine intervention into real life. So be strong in your faith, because what’s supernatural isn’t less than natural, but more.

It’s super real. If Jesus has saved your life, then it isn’t a usual life but a miraculous one. The miracle is real. Walk in its power and overcome because you’ve been touched by the living God, not Tinker Bell.

The one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it.Β  1 Peter 3:10-11

Today, don’t carry on as usual. Your salvation is a miracle! Don’t ever get over it. Live as if you were a walking miracle because you are!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Simple Joy

14 May

Simple Joy…

Good morning, everyone!!

Today, let’s embrace the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 8:15 and find joy in the simple, everyday blessings God has given us. May this verse inspire us to appreciate the beauty of the present moment and the gifts we often overlook.

So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.  Ecclesiastes 8:15

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the next big thing. We often think that joy will come with that promotion, that relationship, that achievement. But Ecclesiastes 8:15 offers a refreshingly different perspective.

The author, known for his wisdom, had experienced all that life had to offer – wealth, success, pleasure. Yet, he concludes that true joy is found not in these grand pursuits, but in the simple, everyday gifts that God has given us.

This isn’t a call to a life of complacency or mediocrity. Rather, it’s an invitation to find contentment and purpose in the present moment, to appreciate the beauty and blessings that are right in front of us.

It’s about finding joy in a shared meal, a heartfelt conversation, a quiet moment of reflection. It’s about recognizing that these seemingly small things are actually the big things, the stuff that life is made of.

Today, let’s choose to embrace the simple joys that God has placed in our lives. Let’s eat, drink, and be glad, knowing that each moment is a gift from our Heavenly Father. And let’s trust that as we find our delight in Him, He will give us the strength and purpose for all our days under the sun.

Father, life moves so fast, and I often forget to pause and appreciate the simple joys You give me each day. Help me to slow down and truly see Your blessings all around me. When things get tough, remind me that You’re right here with me, guiding and providing. Fill my heart with gratitude and joy, even in the little things. Give me the strength to embrace both the good times and the tough ones, knowing that neither is permanent on this side of heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be full of joy in the Lord always. I will say again, be full of joy. Let everyone see that you are gentle and kind. The Lord is coming soon. Philippians 4:4-5

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

The Proof of All Proofs

14 May

The Proof of All Proofs…

Dr. Peter Remnant, a Professor of Ancient Philosophy, was addressing a gathering of over 1000 university students when he began speaking about the Bible. He said, “There’s no proof in the Bible that God exists.”

What a statement! But he was correct. The Scripture doesn’t spend time trying to prove the existence of God because the existence of God is known and understood. It begins, “In the beginning, God,” and goes on from there. God is. Now move on.

Too many of us spend our walks wavering back and forth, afraid to step out of the boat, afraid to take God at His word, afraid to really live as if the God of love and miracles were really true. Don’t stay in nursery school.

You’re called to graduate and do great things. God hasn’t called you to prove Him to yourself. He’s called you to know Him, serve Him, and to live your life with Him.

Stop doubting. God is. Without Him, we wouldn’t be here. It’s time to step out because in God, it’s not ‘seeing is believing.’ Rather, believe, and you’ll see.

And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.Β  Hebrews 11:6

Throw away any doubt today and step out in the hope, faith, love, and peace that comes from God.

Walk daily with God at your side!
