The Days Of Return

18 Mar

The Days Of Return…

The word in Hebrew is teshuva. It means repentance or return. In the sacred Hebrew year, at the end of the year in the seventh month of Tishri, the autumn, it is called the season of teshuva.

This is the time when the trumpets blow. The time of Israel’s repentance is always at the end, not the beginning. So when are the Jewish people going to come back and return to Jesus? At the end of the age.

That’s why Israel is back in the world now, at the end. That’s why the Biblical prophecy is coming true for the last days now, because the Jewish people are returning and are beginning to come to Jesus.

That’s why the Book of Revelation is filled with trumpets, because it is all linked to the return and we are living in those days. We are living in the days heralding the coming of the Lord. When you see the Jewish people returning, it’s time.

Not only for their return, but so Jesus will return. Pray for them. Bless them. Be ready, for these are the days of teshuva, the return.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:1-2

Starting today, look for ways to bring the Jewish people into the Kingdom. Be the one who blesses what God wants blessed. Remain in prayer for the Nation of Israel and the Peace of Jerusalem.

Walk daily with God at your side!

A Treasure Of Righteousness

A Treasure Of Righteousnes…

Can you picture the stock traders on the floor of the Stock Exchange when stocks are quickly rising or falling? It’s crowded, chaotic, competing, desperate, nerve-racking. Everybody in this world crowds in to get hold of a good thing.

But when it comes to seeking righteousness, not too many are around. There certainly isn’t much competition for it. But righteousness is the greatest treasure of all and nobody is fighting over it. It’s all there, it’s open for you, with no limit.

Take as much as you want. It’s the treasure you have in God; the treasures of the Kingdom of God. So, stop seeking those things which are not treasures. So many are fighting for these things and have nothing.

Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. That is the treasure–the pearl of great price. The world doesn’t realize it, but you do. It’s free for the taking and you can have as much as you are willing to receive. That’s it. It’s amazing!

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6

As you look to God each day, strive for the moral perfection that can only come from Him. Take your eyes off of what the world has to offer and seek His righteousness.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Emotions and Lillies

Emotions and Lillies…

The word in Hebrew is Shoshanim. It is a pretty word. It means lily. The Lord said consider the lilies of the field; they don’t spin, they don’t labor, yet Solomon in all his glory wasn’t dressed like these.

We should consider lilies, be more like them. They don’t worry. God is going to take care of them. Lilies are stable. Lilies are rooted. Lilies are solid. They are at peace. They don’t toil because they have roots. They don’t worry because they have roots.

The Bible says pray and you become rooted and grounded in love. If you want to be stable, you have to have roots. Do you want to have a life of beauty like a lily? Have peace like a lily? Have splendor like lily?

Well then, get rooted like a lily. Get really rooted in the things of God, in the Word of God, in the joy of God, the love of God. Get your thoughts rooted. Get your emotions rooted. With that you can be as peaceful and as beautiful as a lily.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6

Secrets of the Lilies. Fortify your mind with the truths of God’s Word so that your roots will remain strong.

Narrow Up A Child

15 Mar

Narrow Up A Child..

A famous scripture, Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go and even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In Hebrew it doesn’t just say train, the word is narrow. It means narrow a child in the way.

Narrow, meaning guide, direct into that certain way. A child can go in any direction, narrow them to the Lord. Narrow them to the Word, narrow them to God’s way, to righteousness. Narrow them to be godly people, to be giving people. Narrow their ways. Guard them from evil influences. It is not a bad thing to be narrow, not only for your child, but for yourself.

We need to narrow ourselves. Narrow the ways of your eyes to only see what is beneficial. Narrow the ways of your thoughts into what is pure. Narrow the ways of your time so you don’t waste it. Narrow the ways of your tongue so you don’t gossip. Narrow your way, because straight is the road and narrow is the way that leads to life. Those who find it are those who walk narrow.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Choose to take the narrow, less traveled path. This is the only road that leads to pleasing God.

Israel’s Goel

14 Mar

Israel’s Goel…

In Isaiah 41 it says, “I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your hand and says to you, don’t fear, I’ll help you. Don’t be afraid… I’ll help you, says the Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” A beautiful promise, but it is even more beautiful in the original language.

In Israel there was a law, called the Law of the Goel. If a man married a woman and died before they could have children and the husband had a relative who was willing, that relative could redeem the woman. He would marry her, give her children, protect her, and restore her life.

In this verse in Isaiah, it says that “I am the Lord your Redeemer.” The word isn’t just redeemer in Hebrew, but Goel. It is saying that God is now your Goel. No matter what you are going through, you are never going to be alone.

So don’t worry, don’t be discouraged, for the Lord is your Goel. Do not be afraid, I Myself will help you declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Your Goel.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

God is your redeemer and will be with you through all things. Have courage as you take hold of His hand.

Nietzche’s Devel

13 Mar

Nietzche’s Devel..

In 1888 Frederick Nietzsche wrote a book called The Anti-Christ. It follows the premise that “The worst thing to happen to humanity is Christianity.” The next year, he suffered a mental breakdown and ultimately died insane.

There was a significant person in history that read this book and became a disciple of this teaching. His name was Adolf Hitler. His false beliefs that he could act as God resulted in the death of 6 million Jews and many more in the Second World War.

In recent times, there is the book The DaVinci Code based on New Age ideas that you shall be as God. And let’s not forget that this very same message was given to Eve in the garden.

Underneath it all? The lies of Satan. It ends with death. It did in the garden. It did in the Holocaust. And it does now. The Word of God is true.

We shall not become as God, but God became as us, and in that is everything. In that is our salvation. When you seek to be as God, there’s death. Seek to live as a child of God; it’s life now and forever.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:8

Do not be deceived by this world. As God’s own child, seek to know the truth that is in God’s Word.

The Manuscript Evidence

12 Mar

The Manuscript Evidence…

People claim the Bible isn’t trustworthy. The argument is that it has been changed and copied over. It was written centuries after the events, so it simply cannot be accurate. Let’s consider how the accuracy of an ancient manuscript is determined.

It is based on: 1) the number of manuscripts that exist. 2) the time period between the original event and the first recorded manuscript. For example, the number 2 book in all of history is the “The Iliad” written by Homer. It has 643 manuscripts with a 400 year gap.

What is the number 1 book in manuscript authority? The New Testament. It significantly trumps the #2 book. It has 24,970 manuscripts compared to The Iliad’s 643. The entire New Testament has only about a 250 year gap.

In fact, there are New Testament books with only about a 100 year difference from the original. The truth is that there is no ancient writing more attested to than the New Testament. The words written down are real. Believe it. Receive it. Trust in it. The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our God endures forever.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16

Today put your confidence and trust in God’s word no matter what your circunstance may be. He is truth, so must His Word be truth in your life.

Magdalene In Paris

Magdalene In Paris…

The DaVinci Code claimed that Mary Magdalene fled from the early church and moved to France. Picture this: a first century Jewish woman from a little fishing village in Galilee called Magdala says, “You know what? I think I’ll go to France, see the sights, have some wine and cheese.”

It sounds ridiculous, but that’s what the DaVinci Code proclaims. All sorts of people read this and embraced it, with one fabrication on top of the next! Amazing how people accept things that have no basis.

Is there something that we can absolutely believe in and confidently live by? Without a doubt, it is the Word of God! The true Word of God has the power and the evidence that makes it a rock.

Do what it says, believe what it declares, live every part of your life in the Word. Live it and you will see it.

No, Mary Magdalene never went to Paris or France, but the Word of God has come for real. The Bible, take it for what it is, and it will change your life.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

Read the Word of God and meditate on it today. Put what you read into practice and live by it. It’s the real thing. You will feel His power work within you.

The Mule and The Horse

10 Mar

The Mule and The Horse..

Psalms 32:8-9 warns us not to be like the horse or the mule. The horse has to be pulled back with a bridle or it will run off on its own. The mule tends not to move forward without a great tug from its master. Both animals obey only because they’re bridled and are forced to comply.

Believers often show this same behavior. There are those who jump ahead of God and have to be reined in like the headstrong horse. Then there are those believers who hear God’s call but refuse to listen and drag behind like the stubborn mule. Their obedience does not come willingly from the heart.

God wants you to obey Him because you want to; not because you have to. Doing what’s right needs to come from a desire to please Him. Do you want to truly walk in the will of God? Then listen and obey with a willing heart.

A walk that strives to please God will lead to knowing God more, loving Him more, being with Him more, and being like Him more. Seek God, seek Him from the heart, walk after His heart. You can leave the bridle to the horse and the mule.

So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, Colossians 1:10

Obey God with a joyful heart. Find God’s heart today and seek His will for you. Let Him lead you and guide you. Be mindful not to rush ahead but walk with Him side by side.

Walk daily with God at your side!

The God Of Who?

9 Mar

The God Of Who?

Jacob wrestled the angel, or God, and said, “Please tell me your name.” The being did not reveal his name. God changed Jacob’s name during that wrestling match to Israel. Israel was Jacob himself. Later when he offered up a sacrifice, he called God “the God of Israel.”

By referring to God in this way, he was calling God the God of me – one who has my name in His name. God had given to Jacob the name Israel. In turn, Jacob gave the name, the God of Israel, to God. When you’re born again, you become a new person. Through this new birth, this new you is joined to God and God is joined to you. Your identity is now in Him, never apart from Him.

You need in that sense to name God. You can’t change His name, but in your new birth you can claim that He is now the God of you; the God of me. You’ll be able to say with confidence, “My Beloved is mine and I am His.” Our God is and forever will be the God of Israel, the God of me, the God of you.

My beloved is mine, and I am his; he grazes among the lilies. Song of Solomon 2:16

Say to the God of Israel that you are completely His and that He is Lord and King in your heart. Be confident that you belong to Him. Keep His name upon your heart forever.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always
