Unfolding Beauty In Gods Time

23 Mar

Unfolding Beauty in God’s Time…

Good morning. Today, I want you to take a closer look at Ecclesiastes 3:11 and see how God’s time is so much better than our expectations and maybe help recenter your life on Him.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  – Ecclesiastes 3:11

This verse isn’t just a comforting platitude; it’s a profound declaration of God’s sovereign artistry and our limited human perspective. The word “beautiful” in Hebrew, yapheh, signifies more than mere aesthetic appeal.

It implies completeness, appropriateness, and perfect alignment. God’s “making” is an active, ongoing process, not a past event. He’s actively shaping our circumstances, even the seemingly chaotic ones, into a masterpiece according to His divine design.

The phrase “set eternity in the human heart” speaks to our innate longing for something beyond the temporal. It’s the echo of our creation in God’s image, a persistent reminder that our existence transcends the fleeting moments of this life. This internal “eternity” fuels our dissatisfaction with the mundane, our yearning for purpose, and our intuitive sense of a grander narrative.

However, the verse also acknowledges our limitations. “No one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” We are finite beings trying to comprehend an infinite God and His eternal plans. Our perspective is like a single brushstroke on a vast canvas; we see only a fragment of the whole picture.

This tension – between our inherent longing for eternity and our inability to fully grasp God’s ways – is where faith thrives. We surrender our need to understand every detail and trust that the Artist knows what He’s doing.

When we face delays, disappointments, or seemingly unanswered prayers, it’s easy to conclude that God has abandoned us. His delays are not rejections but purposeful orchestrations in His grand design.

Reflect on a past challenge. Can you now see how God wove beauty or purpose into that difficult season? What specific lessons or growth emerged?

How do you experience the “eternity” set in your heart? What longings or yearnings point you beyond the temporal?

Where are you currently tempted to wrest control from God’s hands? How can you practice surrendering to His perfect timing, even when it’s unclear?

How does the realization that you can’t fully fathom God’s ways impact your faith? Does it bring comfort or anxiety? How can you shift towards greater trust?

Heavenly Father, thank You for the assurance that You are actively making all things beautiful in Your time. Forgive me for my impatience and my tendency to doubt Your perfect plan. Help me to trust Your delays, knowing they are not denials, but part of Your intricate design. I surrender my need to understand every detail and choose to rest in Your loving hands. May the echo of eternity within my heart draw me closer to You, reminding me that my story is part of something far greater than I can imagine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God’s delays are not God’s denials.

How does this:  “God’s delays are not God’s denials” resonate with your current circumstances? How can you apply this truth to your experience of waiting or uncertainty?

Mentorship and Unlocking Potential

23 Mar

Mentorship and Unlocking Potential…

Elisha’s encounter with Elijah wasn’t just a chance meeting; it was a pivotal moment of recognition. He saw in Elijah a life marked by divine favor and extraordinary action, a stark contrast to his own familiar routine.

So Elisha…took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant.   1 Kings 19:21, NIV

To embrace this new path, Elisha made a decisive break, sacrificing his old life to pursue the potential he saw in Elijah’s mentorship. This act of radical commitment paved the way for him to receive a “double portion” of Elijah’s anointing, ultimately surpassing his mentor’s miraculous feats.

The lesson is clear: our potential is often unlocked by the people we surround ourselves with. We need those who have already navigated the paths we aspire to tread, those whose vision stretches beyond our current horizons.

Father, I acknowledge the favor connections you have already orchestrated in my life. Guide me to discern and embrace these relationships. Empower me to sever ties that stagnate my progress and forge bonds with those who ignite my potential. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. This underscores the importance of seeking out mentors and peers who inspire growth, challenge us to excel, and expose us to new possibilities.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Gentle Grip of Grace

23 Mar

The Gentle Grip of Grace…

Grief, like a relentless tide, can pull us under, leaving us gasping for air amidst the swirling waves of sorrow. It can feel like a vast, empty expanse, where familiar landmarks have vanished, and the horizon itself seems to have disappeared. In these moments, the weight of loss can be crushing, and the silence, deafening.

We often search for solid ground, a place to anchor ourselves, but find only the shifting sands of memory and the sharp, jagged rocks of what might have been. Yet, even in this tumultuous sea, God’s hands reach out, not to pull us from the storm, but to hold us within it.

Think of the disciples in the boat, tossed by the raging waves. Fear gripped them, and they cried out in despair. But Jesus, walking on the very water that threatened to consume them, offered not just rescue, but presence. He was there, in the midst of the chaos, a tangible reminder that even when we feel utterly lost, we are never truly alone.

God’s comfort isn’t always about removing the pain. Sometimes, it’s about providing a steady,  grip, a silent assurance that we are held. It’s in the quiet moments of remembering, the shared tears with a friend, the unexpected warmth of a sunset that reminds us of a loved one’s smile. It’s in the whispered promises of scripture, the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit, reminding us that even in our brokenness, God’s love remains unbroken.

His hands, marked by the scars of sacrifice, understand our pain. They know the depth of sorrow, the sting of loss, and the ache of longing. And in that shared understanding, there is a profound comfort, a sense of being seen, heard, and held.

Let us surrender to the gentle grip of grace, allowing God to carry us through the storm, knowing that even in the darkest night, His light will guide us to the dawn.

Heavenly Father, in the midst of my grief, I feel lost and overwhelmed. Help me to feel the gentle grip of your comforting hands. Remind me that I am not alone, that you are with me in my sorrow. Grant me the strength to endure, the peace that surpasses understanding, and the hope that comes from knowing your love endures forever. Amen.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18

Serving Christ Through Kindness

22 Mar

Serving Christ Through Kindness…

What if every act of kindness wasn’t just compassion—but communion with Christ Himself?

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’  Matthew 25:40

That’s what Jesus reveals in Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you did for me.” The King of heaven doesn’t just notice our care for the hurting—He receives it personally.

When we lift up the vulnerable, feed the hungry, care for the sick, or show kindness to the forgotten, we are ministering to Jesus. He identifies not with the powerful but with the overlooked. And He calls our smallest acts of love eternal.

That donation? It’s worship. That prayer? It reaches His heart. The comfort you offer someone in pain? It’s received by nail-scarred hands.

In a world chasing status and recognition, Jesus honors what no one else may see—the quiet gift, the secret act of love, the moment of compassion that reflects His own heart.

So today, don’t underestimate your impact. When you serve the least, you are loving the One who gave everything for you. And that changes everything.

Who around me might be considered “the least of these,” and how can I serve them today?
How often do I pause to see Jesus in those the world tends to ignore?

Loving Father, It humbles me to know that when I care for the least, I’m loving You. Open my eyes to see You in the faces of the hungry, the hurting, and the forgotten. Don’t let me miss the quiet moments where love is needed most. Make my compassion more than sentiment—make it action. Use my hands to serve, my words to heal, and my heart to reflect Yours. Use me today, Lord. Let someone feel your heart through mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love. This underscores the profound truth that even the seemingly insignificant acts of kindness, when done with genuine love, hold immeasurable value in God’s eyes.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Devine Placement and Blessings

22 Mar

Devine Placement and Blessings…

Divine geography exists. God has meticulously designed specific locations for your flourishing, reservoirs of His favor, gateways of opportunity, and storehouses of provision. Your destiny is intricately woven with these ordained places.

As Deuteronomy 28:2-3 proclaims, ‘And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.’

This is not merely a poetic sentiment but a tangible promise. Faith and a positive disposition are vital, yet they are incomplete without divine placement. To experience the fullness of God’s intended blessings, we must cultivate a keen sensitivity to His guiding voice, the gentle whisper that directs us to our designated places of abundance.

This means that God’s orchestration of our lives extends beyond dramatic pronouncements; He shapes our paths through the subtle nuances of everyday circumstances. He may call us to persevere in uncomfortable environments, where trials test our resolve and the temptation to flee is strong.

Or, He might lead us through unfair situations, where righteousness seems to be met with adversity. Conversely, closed doors, often perceived as setbacks, can be divine redirections, propelling us towards greater realms of advancement.

Resist the urge to contest these closed doors or succumb to discouragement when pushed beyond your comfort zone. Embrace the transformative power of change, recognizing that God’s shifts are always purposeful, leading you toward an elevated plane of blessing.

Father, I thank You for Your unwavering promise that as I prioritize Your presence, Your blessings will pursue me relentlessly, overtaking me with abundance. I acknowledge that You have specific, divinely appointed locations for my prosperity. Grant me the discernment to hear Your voice and to recognize the places You are meticulously ordering my steps. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

God does not guide us by signs and visions; He guides us also by circumstances. The seemingly natural course of events is bent to His purpose.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Words Eternal Power

21 Mar

The Words Eternal Power…

Good morning, Today, let’s journey back where the timeless story of God’s love unfolds.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

“In the beginning was the Word.” John’s opening line hits like a thunderclap, challenging our very concept of time and existence. It’s not just a poetic flourish; it’s a revelation of Jesus’ divine nature.

This “Word” isn’t just speech. It’s the very essence . John is telling us that Jesus isn’t merely a great teacher or prophet who appeared 2000 years ago. He’s eternally existed alongside God the Father.

Think about that. The same Jesus who walked dusty Galilean roads also designed the intricate patterns of DNA. The one who calmed storms with a word is the reason seasons change. This eternal Christ chose to enter our world, to make the intangible touchable, to translate the language of eternity into human terms.

What does this mean for us today? It means that when we pray, we’re not shouting into a void, but communing with the One who was there at creation’s dawn. When we face challenges, we have the power of the universe on our side. Our daily lives are infused with eternal significance because we’re walking with the One who has always been, and always will be.

Dear God, It’s incredible to think that You, who created everything, want to be part of my life. Sometimes, it’s hard to grasp how vast You are, yet how close You want to be to me. Thank you for sending Jesus for letting Him walk dusty roads just like I do. Help me remember that when I pray, I’m not just speaking into space but reaching You, the One who set the stars in place. When life gets tough, remind me that You’re not just the Creator, but my loving Father. Help me sense Your presence, turning struggles into opportunities for Your grace to shine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Word of God is like a lion. You don’t have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose, and the lion will defend itself.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  Hebrews 4:12

This emphasizes the dynamic, penetrating, and transformative power of God’s Word. It’s not just a passive text but a living force that actively works in our lives. This amplifies the idea that the “Word” in John 1:1 is not merely a concept but a powerful, active, and discerning force that is Jesus Christ himself.

Year of Doubling and Growth

21 Mar

Year of Doubling and Growth…

The Hebrew word “Shannah,” meaning “year,” carries a powerful concept: “doubling.” Derived from “shnay,” signifying “two” or “the doubling,” it suggests that each year should be a period of increase, a multiplication of good.

As Peter urged, our growth in God’s qualities should be progressive, not stagnant. Simply passing through the year is insufficient; we must actively pursue expansion.

This year, let’s embrace the “Shannah” principle. Let our love, joy, peace, faith, strength, and confidence not only grow but double. The Lord’s promise of abundant life extends to a doubled measure of His blessings.

Instead of your shame, you will have a double portion, and instead of humiliation, they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore, they will possess a double portion in their land. Everlasting joy will be theirs.  Isaiah 61:7

Let’s not merely endure this year but intentionally cultivate growth in the Spirit, in love, and in righteousness.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of this ‘Shannah,’ this year of doubling. We ask that you empower us to embrace the principle of increase in every area of our lives. Grant us the wisdom and strength to actively cultivate love, joy, peace, faith, and strength. May your abundant life, your doubled blessings, overflow in us. Help us to use each day as an opportunity for spiritual growth and righteous living. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

God’s Immeasurabe Power Within

20 Mar

God’s immeasurable Power Within…

The gentle cadence of a whispered prayer, a silent tear tracing a path of desperate hope, the fragile dreams held close, guarded by a veil of doubt – these are not insignificant moments, but rather, the fertile ground where God’s immeasurable power takes root.

Now to Him, who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.  Ephesians 3:20

We often approach the Divine with a measured humility, asking for just enough: a sliver of light to navigate the darkness, a sliver of strength to endure the day.

Yet, within the sacred words of Ephesians 3:20, a profound truth shatters the limitations of our finite expectations. “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

This is not a mere platitude, but a declaration of the very essence of God’s presence within us. The same power that birthed galaxies from cosmic dust, that resurrected life from the tomb, that sustains the very fabric of existence – that very power pulsates within our souls.

In the midst of your waiting, your uncertainty, your seemingly insurmountable challenges, this divine power is actively at work. Where human eyes perceive dead ends, God reveals hidden doorways. Where we encounter impenetrable barriers, He orchestrates miraculous breakthroughs. The seemingly impossible is merely the canvas upon which He paints His extraordinary masterpieces.

Consider the nature of creation itself: the intricate dance of subatomic particles, the vastness of the cosmos, the delicate balance of life. These are not random occurrences, but manifestations of God’s infinite wisdom and power. This same creative force, this same boundless energy, resides within you.

Let this truth permeate the depths of your being: every perceived ending in your hands is transformed into a nascent beginning in His. Your impossibilities are but the prologue to His miraculous narrative. Even as you absorb these words, He is actively weaving the next chapter of your life, a chapter filled with unimaginable possibilities.

Dear Heavenly Father, we acknowledge our tendency to limit Your power with our small expectations. Thank You for hearing the faintest echoes of our hearts, the unspoken desires, and the unspoken fears. We surrender our perceived limitations, our feelings of inadequacy, and our anxieties to Your infinite wisdom. We acknowledge that the same power that ignited the stars and conquered death resides within us, empowering us to overcome any obstacle.
We lay our “impossibles” at Your feet, trusting that You will not only meet our needs but exceed them beyond our wildest dreams. Where we see dead ends, illuminate the path to new beginnings. Write our stories, Lord, according to Your perfect will, transforming our trials into triumphs and our doubts into unwavering faith. In the sacred name of Jesus, Amen.

The journey of faith is often marked by three distinct stages: the initial perception of impossibility, the arduous navigation through difficulty, and the ultimate realization of divine accomplishment. This progression is not a testament to human effort but a reflection of God’s transformative power working within us.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Reclaiming Heavenly Citizenship

20 Mar

Reclaiming Heavenly Citizenship…

Philippians 3:20 declares, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Greek term used for “citizenship” (πολίτευμα, politeuma) vividly depicts a colony of people residing in a foreign land, yet living according to the laws and customs of their homeland.

This powerful image highlights a profound truth: as believers, our true home is heaven. Though we walk the earth, we are called to live as citizens of heaven, governed not by the dictates of this world, but by the divine principles of our celestial kingdom.

This means we are no longer bound by the chains of earthly limitations – the laws of sin and death, the weight of guilt, the sting of failure, the frustration of unmet desires, the consuming fires of anger, the shadows of regret, or the paralyzing grip of fear.

We are freed from these earthly shackles, empowered to live in the glorious liberty of the children of God.

The carnal mind is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so. Romans 8:7

Therefore, we are called to transcend the limitations of the carnal mind and embrace the transformative power of heavenly living.
Today, make a conscious decision to break free from the bondage of the flesh and the dominion of sin and death.

Choose to live by the laws of heaven – by love, grace, forgiveness, and peace. Embrace the rights, privileges, and freedoms that are rightfully yours as a citizen of heaven.

Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing to us our true citizenship. We acknowledge that we are sojourners on this earth, and our hearts long for our eternal home with You. Grant us the strength and wisdom to live according to Your laws, to reflect Your glory in our daily lives. Free us from the chains of earthly limitations and empower us to walk in the freedom You have purchased for us through Jesus Christ. Help us to live as true citizens of heaven, radiating Your love and grace to a world in need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The world as we know it now is passing, and the form of this world is passing too. It is only the things we do for Christ that will last.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Universal Fatherhood of God

19 Mar

The Universal Fatherhood of God…

The concept of God as Father is a truth that embraces all who believe in Him. It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others, feeling inadequate when our faith seems small.

You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:26

Whether you are a Peter or a Paul, a spiritual giant or a struggling believer, you are part of the same divine family. The strength of your faith does not diminish your status as a child of God.

“This covenant stands secure,
Though earth’s old pillars bow;
The strong, the feeble, and the weak,
Are one in Jesus now.”

Our names are all inscribed in the same heavenly register. While some may possess greater spiritual gifts or accomplish more for God’s kingdom, every believer, regardless of their perceived weakness, is fully and completely a child of God. This should bring immense comfort as we approach our Father in prayer.

However, recognizing this truth should not breed complacency. We must not settle for a weak faith. Instead, like the apostles, we should earnestly pray for its increase. While even the feeblest genuine faith in Christ will lead to salvation, a stronger faith will enable us to better honor our Lord during our earthly journey and experience a deeper, more abundant joy.

Therefore, let us strive to be filled with the spirit of adoption, allowing perfect love to banish all fear.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the incredible truth that I am your child through faith in Jesus Christ. Help me to grasp the depth of your love and to never doubt my place in your family. I confess that sometimes I feel weak and inadequate. Please increase my faith and empower me to live a life that glorifies you. Fill me with your Spirit, so that I may walk in your love and experience the joy of your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want him to do. It is the belief that God will do what is right.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
