The Heart Of Christmas

26 Dec

The Heart Of Christmas…

Good morning! Today, let’s carry the heart of Christmas with us – the reminder that God’s love isn’t about condemnation but about a rescue mission launched from the heart of heaven.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
John 3:17

How easily we slip into thinking we’ve wandered too far, fallen too hard, and fail too often. That voice inside whispers we’re beyond reach, that surely God must be disappointed. We carry our mistakes like heavy stones, don’t we? Each one is adding to the weight of shame.

But then comes John 3:17, breaking through our darkness like dawn: God didn’t send His Son to condemn us. The miracle of Christmas wasn’t heaven’s judgment, but heaven’s love reaching down. Jesus didn’t leave His throne to point out our failures but to lift us from them. Not to push us away but to bring us home.

Every detail of His coming whispers this truth—the humble manger, the shepherd’s welcome, the star’s light piercing darkness. From His first cry to His final breath, Jesus declared God’s heart: not condemnation, but salvation. Not rejection, but restoration.

Today, let this truth set your heart free: You’re not God’s disappointment; you’re the reason He came. And He would make that same choice again and again, just to reach you.

Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes, I carry the weight of my mistakes, my fears, and my doubts, as if I have to fix them all myself. But Your Word reminds me that You didn’t send Jesus to condemn me but to save me. Thank You for seeing me in my mess and loving me enough to draw near. Help me release the shame I hold onto and embrace the gift of Your grace. Let Your love renew my heart today and fill me with the peace only You can give. I lift my eyes to You, my Savior, my refuge, my hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The heart of salvation is the Cross of Christ. The reason salvation is so easy to obtain is that it costs God so much.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Fruitless Victories

26 Dec

Fruitless Victories…

When I was in high school, a group of us started a rock band. In the process, We skipped lunch every day for a long time and saved enough lunch money to buy a sound system. It was not long afterward that a thief broke in through the window and stole it all – it was about three hundred lunches out the window.

In the same way, there is no shortage of pursuits in life that end up not being worth all the work in the end. The world is filled with people who spend their lives sacrificing their peace, their relationships, their time, their integrity, their joy, even their health and their relationship with God. And for what – money, ambition, status?

What are you spending your life to get, and what are you sacrificing to get it? Is it worth it? Look at your life and be blessed with what you do have! Treasure the time, your loved ones, and all the blessings God’s given you.

Otherwise, you might end up on your death bed regretting all you sacrificed and all you lost…, just a fruitless victory.

Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man’s envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.  Ecclesiastes 4:4

Are you sacrificing something precious for a goal that is not from the Lord? Correct your path today. And restore that which you sacrificed.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love Comes Down

Love Comes Down…

This being Christmas week, we celebrate the most extraordinary moment in history: the day love came down to save us.

Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luke 2:11

Angels to shepherds, a night sky ablaze with glory, and a stable transformed into a throne—this is how heaven celebrated the greatest moment in history: “Today… a Savior has been born to you.” Not a message of judgment or rules, but of pure joy. A gift. A Savior. Born for you.

The shepherds didn’t hesitate; they ran to Bethlehem and found exactly what the angel promised—a baby wrapped in cloths – lying in a manger. Humble. Simple. Divine. The King of Kings, welcomed not by royalty, but by shepherds. The Lord of all, resting in a feeding trough. The author of life, beginning His earthly story with the cry of a newborn.

This morning, we, too, are invited to Bethlehem to gaze in wonder, to kneel in worship, and to receive the greatest gift ever given. Jesus came not just to enter the world but to enter your heart. He came for the weary, the broken, the searching. He came for you.

Let this truth transform your celebration today: Heaven’s greatest treasure stepped down to make you His own. This is joy. This is the reason for Christmas.

Dear Father, as the sun rises on this morning, my heart swells with a joy that only You could give. Thank You for Jesus, my Savior, my King, born to bring me back to You. Let the wonder of that fill me afresh today. May the carols I sing, the gifts I share, every moment of this day, be a reflection of the love that brought You from heaven to a manger. You gave Your everything for me. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Help me to live this day, and every day, for You. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.

Who can add to Christmas? The perfect motive is that God so loved the world. The perfect gift is that He gave His only Son. The only requirement is to believe in Him. The reward of faith is that you shall have everlasting life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Working With Jesus

25 Dec

Waorking With Jesus…

In Luke 4, Jesus is ministering in Galilee, and the multitudes want Him to stay there teaching and healing. But he says, “I must preach the Kingdom of God to other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.”

Jesus is saying, “In effect,’I have to move on.” So if Jesus says, ‘I have to move on,’ then what must you say? One of the greatest ways to grow dead in your walk is to simply stay where you are; stop journeying, stop stepping out in faith, and stop moving ahead.

Jesus’ always moving on, and if you’re His follower, so must you. Have you been stuck in the same rut; dwelling in the past, stuck in anger, pondering what you once had in your life but lost?

The Lord’s not staying in it, and neither should you. Move on with your life. Step out in faith. If you want the continuing presence and joy of the Lord in your life, then you have to move on with the Lord. For moving on is the only way to go when you’re going with the moving on Lord.

Therefore, let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.  Hebrews 6:1

Today, seek the Lord on where you need to move forward and then move on with Him.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

His Amazing Love

His Amazing Love…

Today, let’s reflect on the amazing love that brought Jesus to earth. Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9

The most precious gifts often come wrapped in sacrifice.

On this holy day, as we prepare our hearts for the wonder of Christmas, let’s marvel at love’s greatest gift: Jesus. He who held the stars in His hands chose a manger for a bed. He who heard the praises of angels chose the soft cries of a stable.

Imagine it—infinite deity wrapped in fragile swaddling clothes. The One who spoke galaxies into existence, now a quiet infant. Why? Because His love for you compelled Him to bridge the gap sin created.

He became poor to make us rich—not with earthly wealth, but with an inheritance of forgiveness, belonging, and eternal life. The manger whispers what the cross would later shout—that to Him – you were worth it all.

This Christmas, let this truth transform you: Heaven’s greatest treasure left everything to make you His own. And He’d do it again, in a heartbeat. Let that love be your greatest treasure this Christmas Day!

Father, my heart overflows with gratitude this Christmas morning. Thank You for Your incredible love, sending Your only Son, Jesus, to become poor, that I might be rich in You. Forgive me for the times I’ve overlooked this amazing gift. Open my eyes to see Your love more clearly. Open my heart to share it freely with those around me. Let my life reflect the wonder of this holy season. Use me, Lord, for Your glory. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

This Christmas season, when the world seems to be in turmoil—wars are breaking out in different places, crime is rampant, many things are happening that are great sins in the sight of God—but in that crib is the Person who would grow up to save us, and He did.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

She Like The Dawn

24 Dec

She Like The Dawn…

In Hebrew ‘mizot’ means ‘who is this?’ Song of Solomon, 6:10 says “Who is this who shines like the dawn?” The Bride’s maidens are inquiring into the identity of the Bride. So, why do they say ‘Who is this?’ when they should know?

In the same way, the Bride of Jesus should have a quality that makes others say ‘Mizot?’, ‘Who is this?’ even to those who know her best…just as with the maidens of the Bride. The Bride must always be surprising. And she is to surprise by always changing by the grace of God.

You are the Bride of Jesus. So are you surprising people? Are you making your maidens say, “Who is this?” You need to. Start today. Think of unexpected acts, unwarranted gestures of grace, or unexplainable actions of compassion you can do this week.

Surprise your family, your friends, your congregation, your enemies, your co-workers, and all the rest. Surprise them because you are the mizot person – it’s your job to surprise the world!

Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?  Song of Solomon 6:10

Today, do an unexpected act of grace, mercy, and compassion for someone in your life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

His Holy Name

23 Dec

His Holy Name…

Good morning! As we stand on the threshold of Christmas, let’s pause and reflect on the incredible gift God has given us in His Son, Jesus. His coming changes everything.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

Hundreds of years before Mary held her newborn son, the prophet Isaiah caught a glimpse of a coming King—a child, a son, promised to a weary, waiting world. This King wouldn’t arrive in power or splendor, but in humility. Not as a conquering warrior, but as Wonderful Counselor, offering wisdom and guidance to the lost. Not as a ruler demanding tribute, but as Mighty God, stepping into our humanity to save us.

Imagine the longing of those who first heard these words: a promise of an Everlasting Father, whose love would never fail, and a Prince of Peace, who could calm the storms within and around them. For them, it was a distant hope. For us, it’s a fulfilled promise.

This is the wonder of Christmas: Jesus came to bear your burdens, heal your heart, and rewrite your story with His grace. Today, as you prepare to celebrate His birth, let the weight of Isaiah’s prophecy sink in. The King has come. And He’s come for you. Let Him be your everything.

Which of His titles from Isaiah 9:6 means the most to you this season? Why?

Heavenly Feather, my heart stands in awe of these words Isaiah wrote so long ago—each name of Jesus a promise, each promise perfectly fulfilled in Your Son. You didn’t send a distant ruler, but a Savior who draws near. When I’m lost, You are my Wonderful Counselor. When I’m weak, You are my Mighty God. When I feel alone, You are my Everlasting Father. When chaos surrounds me, You are my Prince of Peace. As Christmas draws near, let these ancient words stir fresh wonder in my heart. Thank You for coming for me. I surrender my life to You, and I am eternally grateful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You can never truly enjoy Christmas until you can look up into the Father’s face and tell Him you have received His Christmas gift.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Power Of Words

23 Dec

The Power of Words

The words we speak have the power to bring life or death. This bears out what the Bible says: “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). Slander is a type of murder. When you speak words of slander, false accusation, hatred, criticism, discouragement, you’re in possession of a dangerous weapon and you can actually kill somebody with it.

Such words, spoken over days, weeks, months, and years, can break somebody’s spirit; ultimately, even take away their health and their life. But there is hope. Speak words of life, love, encouragement, compassion, and thanksgiving instead. For if words of hate bring death, words of life can raise the dead.

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?  Matthew 6:30

Jesus highlights the connection between faith and worry. Little faith is consumed by doubts and limitations, while great faith trusts in God’s goodness and provision.

You can’t let your circumstances dictate your faith. You have to let your faith dictate your circumstances.

Focusing on negative medical reports instead of God’s healing power. Let us trust in God’s restoration and healing.

Believing disappointments and setbacks define one’s life.  Let us see beauty in the ashes and believe God turns harm into advantage.

Doubting one’s ability to accomplish dreams due to lack of training, talent, or experience – instead expect breaks and opportunities.

Struggling with financial scarcity instead of trusting in God’s abundance lives under the open windows of Heaven, with a cup that runs over

Father, thank You for caring for me like You care for the wildflowers. I choose to rest in faith, knowing You provide exactly what I need. I declare I will not worry because You supply all my needs. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Whose Power

23 Dec

Whose Power…

When God gave Mary the promise that she would give birth to the Messiah, it seemed impossible. To have a baby without a man defies the laws of nature and logic. But the angel didn’t get upset when she asked how it was possible. He simply helped her have a new perspective.

He was saying, in effect, “Mary, you’re looking at it in the natural. In your own ability, it won’t happen. But the Spirit of God will make it happen.” Mary was at a critical point and chose to look beyond the logical. She got in agreement with God and didn’t let her human reasoning talk her out of it.

God is going to put promises in your heart that don’t make sense. Are you going to keep seeing them only from a human point of view? It’s not going to happen by your own strength, intellect, or hard work.

The Spirit of the living God will make it happen. It’s going to be supernatural, something you can’t explain or take credit for. Everyone will know that it’s the hand of God.

How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”
Luke 1:34–35

Father, thank You for Your promise to Mary that her giving birth to Your Son was possible because the Holy Spirit made it happen. Thank You that Your promises to me are equally as possible because Your Spirit is at work in me. I won’t talk myself out of it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

You can’t let your circumstances dictate your faith. You have to let your faith dictate your circumstances.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Be The Light

22 Dec

Be The Light…

Good morning!! Today, let’s explore how we can be beacons of light in a sometimes dark world.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21

Throughout our lives, we’ve all felt the weight of the world’s negativity pressing down on our shoulders. Whether it’s the constant stream of bad news, workplace drama, or family conflicts, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. In these moments, Paul offers us a transformative strategy: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

This isn’t just nice advice—it’s a powerful way to live. Imagine responding to every unkind word with a blessing, every injustice with fairness, every moment of despair with hope. These acts of goodness, no matter how small, can pierce through darkness like beams of light.

Think about a time when someone’s unexpected kindness brightened your day. You have that same power, flowing from Christ’s love within you. When faced with rudeness, respond with courtesy. When tempted to gossip, speak words of encouragement. When you see injustice, stand up for what’s right with love and respect.

These choices aren’t always easy, but they’re transformative. Each act of kindness pushes back against negativity, creating ripples of positive change. Today, be intentional about spreading goodness. Your simple act might just be the light someone desperately needs.

What specific situations in our life right now call for us to overcome evil with good?

How can we prepare our heart daily to respond to negativity with acts of goodness?

Dear Lord, in the face of anger and negativity, I confess that my first instinct isn’t always to respond with kindness. It’s easy to get caught up in the world’s way of doing things, to want to fight fire with fire. But I know that’s not Your way, Lord. Help me to remember Your words in Romans 12:21 – to not be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good. Give me the strength to choose kindness over cruelty, forgiveness over resentment, and love over hate. Fill my heart with Your peace and guide my actions, that I may be a light in the darkness and a beacon of Your goodness in this world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate; only love can do that.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
