Everylands God

11 Nov

Everylands God…

One of the many things that makes Israel so amazing is that it’s filled with landscapes of every kind. Its western coast is the Mediterranean seashore. Its northern border has a snow capped mountain. In its middle is the fertile valley of Jezreel.

Above the valley is the beautiful hills and Sea of Galilee. In its south is the barren moonscape of the Negev… and so much more – all in a piece of land no larger than the state of New Jersey.

Our God is the God of Israel. He’s the God of the everyland land. He’s not only the God of the mountains, He’s the God of the valleys, the high places and the low, the beautiful planes, and the dry and barren wilderness.

In your life, He’s not only the God of your mountaintops but of your valleys as well. His love for you is everywhere. He will be with you in every landscape of your life.

As He is faithful to you in every moment and place, so live faithful to Him. He’s your everyland God – you be His everyland disciple.

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man.  Acts 17:24

Today, see yourself walking hand in hand with your Father God, whether it’s a mountain top or a valley.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

With Humility Comes Wisdom

With Humility Comes Wisdom…

Good morning!

Let’s start this day by diving into the profound wisdom found in Proverbs 11:2. This short yet powerful verse offers a timeless principle that can transform our lives if we take it to heart.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2

In a world obsessed with status and success, Proverbs 11:2 speaks a timeless truth: pride leads to a fall, while humility opens the door to wisdom.

Pride is one of the heart’s most subtle deceptions. It doesn’t always announce itself with boasting or arrogance. Instead, it grows quietly within us—a gradual sense of self-sufficiency, a slow drift from dependence on God. Before we realize it, we’re standing on our own strength, needing Him less and less.

But true humility lights a different path. It’s not about thinking less of ourselves—it’s about thinking of ourselves less. It’s recognizing that all we have and all we are is a gift from God. In humility, we remain teachable, open to His gentle correction, recognizing our daily need for His wisdom.

In a world that often shouts, “Look at me!”Let’s whisper.”Look at Him.” For it’s in bowing low that we truly rise.

Dear Heavenly Father, often I find myself trying to prove my worth, trusting in my own strength and wisdom. Thank You for reminding me that true strength isn’t found in appearing perfect, but in humbling myself before You. Create in me a truly humble heart—not one that denies Your gifts, but one that remembers their Source. When pride tempts me to shine the spotlight on myself, gentle my heart to point to You instead. Help me walk this path of humility today, not because it’s easy, but because it leads me closer to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.

Walk daily with God at your side!

The Mystery of The Manger

10 Nov

The Mystery of The Manger…

It’s written in Psalm 147 that God gives to every creature ‘food’. The Hebrew word for food is lechem. Lechem means food, but it also means bread.

There’s a town in Israel called the House of Bread. The Hebrew word for house is bait. So, the house of bread would be Bait Lechem. We know it as Bethlehem. In Bethlehem was a feeding trough where animals or creatures came to receive their lechem.

It was there that The Bread of Life came down from heaven and there was laid in a feeding trough for lechem. Jesus said, “I am The Bread of Life, which comes down from heaven. He who eats of this bread will never hunger.”

Jesus truly is The Lechem of Life. He is the One for whom this world and our souls hunger for. Without Him, we’re all empty. So don’t try to fill up your life or your soul with that which is not bread.

Turn again to Him, who is The True Bread for your life, and your life will truly be filled. For God is He who gives to every creature…lechem.

For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.  John 6:33

Today, be filled with the Lechem of life and share it with others.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Choose Joy

Choose Joy…

Good morning!  Today, let’s embrace the profound truth found in Philippians 4:4 and discover the unshakable joy that comes from dwelling in the presence of our Lord.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4

Joy is a choice. It’s a daily decision to fix our eyes on the goodness of God, even when our circumstances tempt us to focus on the trials. This is the heart of Paul’s invitation in Philippians 4:4 – to rejoice always, not just when life is smooth sailing, but in every season, in every situation.

This joy isn’t a superficial happiness that ignores pain or struggle. It’s a deep-rooted assurance that springs from our relationship with an unchanging God. It’s a conscious choice to trust in His faithfulness, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Paul wrote these words from a prison cell, demonstrating that true joy isn’t dependent on external conditions. Instead, it’s anchored in the eternal truth of God’s love and sovereignty.

So today, even if you’re facing challenges or uncertainties, choose joy. Choose to rejoice in the Lord, not because your circumstances are perfect, but because He is. As you do, you’ll discover a wellspring of strength and peace that will carry you through any storm.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the joy that is found in Your presence, a joy that transcends my circumstances. Help me to choose this joy daily, anchoring my heart in Your unchanging love and goodness. In times of trial, remind me that true joy comes from You. Strengthen me to rejoice always, not as a response to my surroundings, but as an outpouring of my faith in You. May my life be a testament to the unshakable joy found in relationship with You. Let this joy be my strength, a light to others, and a reflection of Your constant grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Joy is the flag flying high above the castle of the heart, announcing that the King is in residence there.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Our Driven Life

9 Nov

Our Driven Life…

A famous British public figure was on his way to a meeting in Dublin. Arriving late at the coach station, he hurriedly jumped into the coach, and ordered the coachman, “Drive fast!” The coachman took off speeding through the city streets. A while later, the passenger said to the coachman, “Do you know where you’re going?” The coachman answered, “No, but I’m driving fast.”

That’s a perfect picture of modern man. We’re all so busy racing through life that we so often forget the reason, meaning, purpose, and why of what we’re doing. Is that you? Do you find yourself driven through life, driving fast, but you’re not really getting anywhere?

The first thing you need to do is stop. Take time to be still with God. Ask Him if this is what you’re supposed to be doing with your life. He might tell you, “No,” or, “Yes, but you’re doing it all wrong.” Be open to change.

Instead of living a life that’s driven, live a life that’s Spirit led. As it’s written, you shall go out with joy and be led forth with shalom; with peace.

I walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice.  Proverbs 8:20

Today, spend time with God and ask Him to direct your steps according to His plan.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Our Tapestry

8 Nov

Our Tapestry….

Good morning,

Today, let’s explore how God weaves our desires into His grand design.

May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Psalm 20:4

Imagine standing before a vast tapestry of your life, threads of every color weaving in and out. Some strands represent your dreams, hopes, and plans. Others? They’re the divine interventions, the unexpected blessings, the answered prayers. Psalm 20:4 is like God’s gentle hand on your shoulder, saying, “Let’s weave this together.”

Our hearts often burst with desires – some God-given, others perhaps our own creations. But here’s the beautiful mystery: as we draw closer to our Creator, our desires begin to align with His ultimate design. It’s not about God being a cosmic vending machine, dispensing wishes. It’s about Him lovingly guiding us to want what’s truly best.

This verse is an invitation to dream courageously, but with open hands. It’s about trusting that the Master Weaver sees the full pattern, even when we can only glimpse a few threads. So today, hold your desires up to the light of God’s love. Watch how He might refine them, expand them, or sometimes lovingly redirect them.

Remember, in God’s tapestry, even the unexpected threads create beauty beyond our imagination.

What desires are you nurturing in your heart today?

How can you ensure they align with God’s will so that you experience His promise of making your plans succeed?

Dear Lord, My heart is full of desires and plans, and I’m grateful You care about each one. Thank You for this incredible promise in Psalm 20:4. As I lift my dreams to You today, help me discern which ones align with Your will. Shape my desires, Lord, so they reflect Your heart. When my plans succeed, let it bring You glory. When they don’t, give me faith to trust Your better plan. Guide me to dream courageously, yet hold those dreams with open hands. Help me remember that You see the full tapestry of my life, even when I can only glimpse a few threads. Thank You for being a God who listens, cares, and acts on behalf of Your children. I trust You with my heart’s deepest longings. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer but unoffered prayer.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

The Banquet of The Kingdom

8 Nov

The Banquet of The Kingdom…

Today, wedding receptions are out of control. The average wedding reception is said to be around $25,000. So, when people plan a wedding reception, they have to count the cost of everything and everyone. They stop thinking about relatives and friends as people and start thinking of them as plates of chicken or roast beef.

Back in the ancient biblical Jewish wedding, everyone was invited – relatives, neighbors, friends, the whole village, even people passing through everybody.

Thus, we read of Jesus with all of His disciples invited to a wedding in Cana. When Jesus speaks of salvation, He compares it to a wedding in which the man throwing it says to go out into the highways and byways and compel them to come in.

Notice there’s not one mention of glazed chicken or roast beef. Instead, there’s a spirit of abundance. There’s no cost – it’s free. If you’re born again, you’re not of the world’s wedding, you’re of Jesus’s wedding celebration.

Live with a heart of God’s abundance and generosity, for His wedding is free and overflowing. Live your life the same way.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.  Luke 6:38

Today, act with a heart of abundance and generosity.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Uncertainties of Life

Uncertainties of Life…

Good morning! Today, let’s embrace the message of Isaiah 42:16, reminding us that God is our guide through life’s uncertainties. Trust in His promise to lead us, turn our darkness into light, and smooth out the rough places.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths, I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16

Navigating through life can often feel like trying to find our way through a dense fog. The path ahead is unclear, and doubts creep in, whispering fears and what-ifs. But Isaiah 42:16 shines like a lighthouse, offering a promise we can cling to: our God is a God who leads.

He doesn’t stand at a juncture and point the way; He’s a guide, not a signpost. He walks with us, leading us down paths we never envisioned. All we have to do is walk alongside Him.

This verse beautifully illustrates God’s commitment to us. He leads the blind—those who cannot see the way—along paths they have never known. He turns darkness into light, illuminating our path and transforming our fears into confidence.

He makes the rough places smooth, easing our journey through life’s challenges. Most importantly, He assures us, “I will not forsake them.” In a world where promises are often broken, God’s word stands unshaken. He will never abandon us.

Today, if you’re facing uncertainty or a daunting decision, take heart. Your Heavenly Father is with you, guiding you through every twist and turn. Trust in His promise to turn your darkness into light and smooth out the rough places. Lean into His presence and find peace in His unfailing love.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for always being there for me. When life feels overwhelming and the path ahead is unclear, remind me of Your unfailing love and wisdom. Walk with me through the dark times and light my way. Smooth out the rough patches and give me the courage to keep moving forward with You by my side. Strengthen my faith, Lord, and remind me that You will never leave me. Fill my heart with Your peace and assurance as I lean into Your presence and follow Your lead. Thank You for guiding me every step of the way and for never letting me go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is seeing light with your heart when all your eyes see is darkness.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

Mercy and Truth

Mercy and Truth…

Richard Wurmbrand was imprisoned for his faith by the communist government of Romania. He was interrogated and tortured day in and day out. One day he said to his interrogator, “You interrogate me all the time. Now I want to interrogate you.

Have you ever been in love?” “What kind of question is that?” said the interrogator. Wurmbrand answered, “I once fell in love with the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Not long after we met, I asked her to marry me and she said yes. She loved me! When anybody asked how I was, I answered, ‘She loves me.’

So here you are, asking me so many questions, and the one thing I can tell you is, ‘Jesus loves me.’ So when you come to know the love of God, you won’t have to ask so many questions. His love will answer the questions in your heart.”

So, you, too, might have a lot of questions in your life, but remember the words of the prisoner. In the end, it’s God’s love that’s going to matter. Whatever you’re going through, let go and say, “But God loves me.”

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.  1 John 4:16

Today, no matter what comes your way, dwell on and rejoice in the fact that God loves you.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Crossroads of Life

Crossroads of Life…

Good morning,

Today, may we approach God with open hearts, ready to ask, seek, and knock. Let His wisdom guide our steps and His love fill our day.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take? Or felt a longing in your heart for something more, but didn’t know where to turn? Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:7 remind us that we are never alone in these moments.

God isn’t a distant figure. He’s a loving Father who invites us to come to Him with every need, dream, and question. “Ask,” Jesus says, and trust that God hears you. “Seek,” and believe that He will guide you. “Knock,” and have faith that He will open the right doors at the right time.

This isn’t a one-time invitation but a daily opportunity to deepen our relationship with the One who loves us most. Each morning, we can bring our day to God – our to-do lists, worries, hopes, and fears. We can ask for His wisdom, seek His presence, and knock on the door of His heart, confident that He will respond.

It’s not about getting everything we want, but aligning our hearts with God’s perfect will and wisdom. Even when His answers differ from our expectations, they’re always rooted in love.

Today, let’s embrace Jesus’ invitation with renewed faith. Let’s ask, seek, and knock, watching expectantly for how God will move in your life as you draw near to Him. Remember, He is always ready to welcome you with open arms.

Dear God, Sometimes life feels like a maze, and I’m not sure which way to turn. Thank You for reminding me that I can always come to You. Help me to ask for Your guidance, even in the small stuff. When I’m searching for answers, give me the courage to seek You first. And when doors seem closed, help me keep knocking, trusting Your timing. I know You’re not a genie granting wishes, but a loving Father who knows what’s best. When Your answers surprise me, help me trust Your heart. Thank You for always being there, ready to listen and guide. Today, help me to stay close to You, bringing everything to You in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
