The Secret of The Hebrews…

The book of Hebrews begins with, “God who in past times spoke to our fathers.” The book of Hebrews is an amazing, anointed, and remarkable book. It’s full of profound and wonderful revelations concerning Melchizedek, the high priest, the Sabbath, the covenants, the Holy of Holies, and the heroes of faith, to name a few.

Therefore, it’s significant. It all begins with the word ‘God.’ It’s no accident. For God was and is first before anything. In the same way, if you don’t put God first in your plans, career, and course in life, it will all end up empty and meaningless.

Without God being first, congregations grow dead, marriages grow empty, and lives grow meaningless. It can never be right. Put God first, as your foundation, and what your building will stand. God is first!

Put God first, and the rest will turn out awesome, anointed, and beautiful. Your congregation, your marriage, and your life will be full, overflowing, and anointed. It all begins when you begin like the Book of Hebrews… with God first.

In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:6

Put God first today in your every word, action, thought, and motive.

His Watchful Eye…

Good morning!! Today, let’s find peace in knowing we’re watched over by a God who never sleeps.

He will not let your foot slip— He who watches over you will not slumber.
Psalm 121:3

Sometimes life often feels like walking in the dark, doesn’t it? We take careful steps, unsure of what lies ahead, trying our best not to stumble. In these moments, Psalm 121:3 comes alongside us with an incredible promise: we have a God who never takes His eyes off us.

Through every uncertain step and clouded path, He watches over us with unwavering attention. Not from a distance, but right beside us, guarding each step with perfect care. While we sleep, He’s awake. While we worry about tomorrow, He’s already there.

This isn’t just about avoiding falls—it’s about resting in the arms of perfect love. Even in our darkest nights, even when we can’t see the next step clearly, we’re held secure by a Father who never sleeps, never grows tired, never looks away.

Today, whatever path stretches before you, remember this truth: you’re walking under the protective gaze of eyes that never grow weary.

Dear Father, Today, I just want to thank You for reminding me that You are always near—never sleeping, never looking away, never losing sight of me. When everything ahead feels uncertain, it brings such peace knowing Your eyes are already there. Sometimes, the next step feels uncertain, and worry finds its way into my heart. But You’re always awake, always watching, always holding me safe. Thank You for this beautiful promise – that Your love never grows tired of caring for me, In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In the darkest of nights cling to the assurance that God loves you, that He always has advice for you, a path that you can tread and a solution to your problem–and you will experience that which you believe.

Don’t Lose Your Head…

As a child, before I knew the Lord, I participated in Halloween. The most inexpensive and to me the best costume was the headless man.

We would lift our jackets over our heads, ring the doorbell and stand there with our bags out, trusting they would be filled since we couldn’t see anything. A man walking around without his head is the stuff of horror movies.

However, a lot of believers are basically running around without their heads. They run after the latest trend, movement, teaching, emotion, sign, wonder, problem, or circumstance. They’re following everything but the Lord. They think it’s the Spirit, but they’re really following feelings and circumstances.

One day they think God’s telling them to get married, and the next day to be single. It’s the amazing headless Christian. We must be open to the moving of God’s Spirit but we must also make sure we are grounded in His Word.

God gave you a head. Use it! In order to love the Lord with all your mind, you must keep your head. For headless Christians are just plain scary.

I know that after my departure, fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.  Acts 20:29-30

Today, take a Word of God and root and ground yourself in it. Stand by it the entire day.

A Trusting Heart…

Good morning! Today, let’s embrace the promise of God’s wisdom, freely given to those who seek it with a trusting heart.

Before I start, I wish you all a very blessed day!

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5

Throughout life’s journey, we inevitably encounter pivotal moments and tough decisions that can significantly impact our future. Whether we’re grappling with career options, navigating relationship complexities, or confronting personal struggles, these crossroads can evoke feelings of confusion, anxiety, and indecision.

But James 1:5 offers us a lifeline. When we lack wisdom, we have a direct line to the source of all wisdom: God Himself. The beauty of this promise lies in its simplicity. We don’t need to prove our worthiness; we simply need to ask. And when we do, God promises to give generously, without finding fault.

This is the heart of a Father who delights in guiding His children. He invites us to tap into His infinite wisdom, to let His light illuminate our path.

Today, if you’re facing a situation where you need wisdom, take heart. You have a God who is ready and willing to guide you. Trust that He will give you the wisdom, clarity, and strength you need.

Remember, you are not alone. Your Heavenly Father loves you and is always just a prayer away. You should make it a daily habit!

Heavenly Father, when the road ahead seems foggy, and I’m unsure of where to turn. Please be my guide. I know I don’t always have the wisdom to make the best choices, but I trust that You do. Open my heart and mind to Your guidance, Lord. Give me the clarity and understanding I need to navigate life’s challenges. Help me to follow Your path, even when it’s not the one I would have chosen. Thank you for being a loving Father who never leaves my side. I trust in Your wisdom and your perfect plan for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.

Truth In Love

Truth In Love…

Once, we had two cub scouts, who decided to do a very special good deed for all the motorists in their area. They stood on the side of the road, warning the cars of a police radar trap just ahead. When the organization found out what was happening, they quickly put an end to it.

Sometimes, what we think are good deeds aren’t really good. They may be nice, but nice isn’t always good. It might be nice to agree with people to make them feel good, but sometimes the very thing that makes them feel good hinders them from ever becoming good.

Living simply to please people, giving them what they demand, isn’t the way of righteousness. If someone is drunk and wants to drive home, you can be nice and let them go. The good thing to do is to stop them. It doesn’t feel good, but it’s the most loving thing you can do.

You’re not called to be agreeable and nice. You’re called to be good, and sometimes love has to be tough. God isn’t always agreeable, but He’s always good. You are the same.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.  3 John 11

Walk in righteousness and do what is good today.

The Power of Truth…

Good morning. Today, let’s reflect on the power of truthful words and the lasting legacy they create. May we find the courage to speak the truth, even when it’s difficult.

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
Proverbs 12:19

Have you ever noticed how a small lie can start to feel like a trap? One small deception leads to another until we’re caught in a web of our own making. Proverbs 12:19 speaks to this heart struggle: while lies fade like morning mist, truth stands forever.

The enemy whispers that bending the truth will make life easier—protecting our reputation, avoiding conflict, sparing someone’s feelings. But each time we choose deception, something precious slips away. Our fellowship with God dims, trust in our relationships, cracks, and the peace we thought we were protecting drifts further from reach.

Truth, though not always easy to speak, offers us something beautiful and lasting. When we choose honest words, we step into the freedom Christ died to give us. We reflect God’s unchanging character, and our relationships grow stronger, built not on shifting sand but on the bedrock of trust.

Today, let’s choose truth not because it’s easy, but because it’s eternal. For when our words echo God’s heart, they create a legacy that glorifies Him long after we speak them.

How might choosing complete honesty today strengthen your relationships with God and others?

Loving Father, in a world where truth often seems negotiable, anchor my heart in Your unchanging Word. When speaking honestly feels costly or uncomfortable, fill me with Your wisdom and courage. Help me trust that Your way of truth, though sometimes harder, always leads to freedom. Shape my words with Your grace, that they might build up rather than tear down. Thank You for showing me, through Jesus, that the truth wrapped in love can heal and restore. May my words today be like echoes of Your heart, bringing light to the darkness around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Truth without love is brutality, and love without truth is hypocrisy.

On The Edge

On The Edge…

When I was a boy, I would go sledding with friends. We always started out sitting on top of the hill, right on the edge. It only took the slightest push for gravity’s momentum to kick in and do the rest. That little nudge made all the difference between going somewhere or going nowhere.

So, too, it is in our lives. It is written that God has already prepared good works for you to enter into, but it’s not going to happen if you just sit there on the edge of fulfilling God’s calling on your life.

All it takes is just a little push for you to begin, that first step of righteousness, of holiness, courage, of ministry, of overcoming fear. Take the first step against fear, worry, complacency, apathy, inertial, and that rut. Start moving to victory.

One little nudge is the difference between a life of going nowhere and a life that’s moving in God’s Spirit. Do what God is calling you to do. Then, in the momentum of the Spirit, the ride will begin!

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.  John 16:7

Today, take that first step towards victory and break out of that rut.

The Butterfly’s Child

The Butterfly’s Child…

Greek mythology tells of supernatural beings who were children of the gods. There was Hercules, son of Zeus, and Perseus, another son of Zeus. Of course, it’s all a myth.

The amazing thing is that something even more supernatural than this actually does exist. Those who are born again are divine beings. They are children of the Living God. That’s much greater than being a child of Zeus.

What an awesome thing it is to be born again. In mythology, the children of the gods were considered to be supernatural beings, with supernatural powers, heroes who overcame great odds, colossal foes, and bringing deliverance.

You are a supernatural being with the supernatural powers of the Spirit. You are called to be a hero, to overcome great odds, and to bring deliverance in every situation by the power of Jesus.

In the new birth, you’re a child of God – by His Spirit, more valiant than Perseus and stronger than Hercules. Live like it, for it’s no myth.

For in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith.  Galatians 3:26

Today, live as a child of Deity. Walk in the supernatural power of God and overcome all things.

Be More Forgiving

Be More Forgiving….

Good morning,

As we begin this new day, let’s allow the life-changing words of Colossians 3:13 to guide our hearts and transform our relationships.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:13

In the journey of life, hurt and offenses are unavoidable. We’ve all experienced the sting of someone’s words or actions, and if we’re honest, we’ve also been the ones to inflict pain. It’s in these moments that Colossians 3:13 offers us a path to healing and restoration.

“Bear with each other,” Paul writes. This isn’t a call to brush aside the hurt, but to approach one another with patience, understanding, and compassion. It’s recognizing that we’re all imperfect people, all in need of grace.

But Paul doesn’t stop there. “Forgive one another,” he urges. Forgiveness is not a suggestion for the Christian; it’s a command. And the measure of our forgiveness? “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

When we consider the magnitude of God’s forgiveness towards us, the offenses we cling to seem to pale in comparison. He has forgiven us of so much, not because we earned it, but because of His boundless love.

Today, if there’s someone you need to forgive, remember the grace that’s been lavished upon you. Choose to extend that same undeserved favor. It won’t always be easy, but it will always be worth it. For in forgiving, we find freedom. In extending grace, we experience the very heart of God.

So let us bear with one another, forgive one another, and in doing so, become living reflections of the One who has forgiven us all.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the boundless grace and forgiveness You have shown me. Help me to bear with others in love, patience, and understanding. When I am hurt, give me the strength to forgive as You have forgiven me, knowing that forgiveness brings freedom and peace. Guide my heart to extend grace, even when it’s hard. Let Your love flow through me, healing relationships and reflecting Your heart. Thank You for Your endless mercy and for teaching me the power of forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.

Good morning!

Today, let’s fill our minds with thoughts that are pure, lovely, and admirable as we reflect on Philippians 4:8. Embrace the beauty and goodness that God has placed all around us.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

The world constantly bombards us with negativity and distractions. It’s easy for our thoughts to spiral into worry, fear, and doubt. But in Philippians 4:8, Paul offers us a powerful antidote: to intentionally focus our minds on what is good, true, and beautiful.

It’s not about ignoring the challenges of life but rather about choosing where we direct our attention. When we fill our minds with thoughts that are noble, pure, and praiseworthy, we create a mental space where joy and peace can flourish.

This shift in focus is not merely a feel-good exercise; it’s a transformative practice that aligns our hearts with God’s heart. When we meditate on His goodness and truth, we become more resilient, hopeful, and compassionate. We begin to see the world through His eyes, recognizing the beauty and wonder that surrounds us.

Today, let’s make a conscious effort to replace negative thoughts with those that uplift and inspire. Let’s choose to dwell on what is lovely and admirable and watch as our perspective shifts, our hearts are filled with gratitude, and our lives reflect the light of Christ.

How can we intentionally shift our focus today towards the good, the beautiful, and the excellent that God has placed in our lives?

Heavenly Father, today, I bring my scattered thoughts to You. It’s easy to get lost in the noise, but I want to focus on what is true, noble, and right. Fill my mind with Your goodness and light. Thank You for always being there, even when I forget to notice. Help me turn my worries into prayers and give me the strength to trust in Your plan. Fill my heart with Your peace, the kind that doesn’t always make sense but brings such comfort. Guide me to see the beauty around me and share Your love with others. Thanks for listening and for Your unending peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God, you’ll be at rest.
