He Endures Forever

30 Nov

He Endures Forever…

Today, let’s join the timeless chorus of those who have discovered God’s unchanging goodness. Good morning. Today, we are going to look at Psalm 118:1.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Psalm 118:1

Psalm 118:1 isn’t just a verse to memorize—it’s bedrock truth to build your life upon. When everything else feels shaky, when doubts creep in, when life doesn’t make sense, this remains: God is good. Not sometimes, not mostly—but completely, constantly, eternally good.

Think of it like an anchor holding firm in a storm. While waves of uncertainty crash around us, His goodness keeps us steady. His love isn’t a feeling that comes and goes—it’s as consistent as the sunrise, as dependable as the seasons, as endless as the ocean.

Today, whatever you’re facing, let this truth hold you: God’s goodness hasn’t changed, and His love will never run out. Not because life is perfect, but because He is faithful—yesterday, today, and forever.

Now, ask yourself how God’s enduring love sustained you through difficult times?

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the unshakeable ground beneath my feet. Today, I bring You everything – my joys, my struggles, the questions that weigh on my heart. Remind me that while there are so many changes around me, Your goodness remains constant and true. Help me rest in the peace that comes from knowing You. Not because I can see the way ahead, but because You are faithful, unchanging, and always near. Thank You for being the anchor my heart can always trust. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

God gave us a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say ‘thank you’?

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Power Above All

30 Nov

Power Above All…

In Ephesians 1:21, Paul teaches that the power of God in Jesus’s resurrection is far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that can be named. There are many powers and dominions in this world, and many of them evil.

There are powers and dominions of sin, evil, sickness, depression, fear, gloom, addiction, impurity, anger, striving, selfishness, bitterness, and so on. If you are born again, then the power of God in Jesus’s resurrection is above every one of those things you battle.

His power is higher and greater than your problem. But God’s power isn’t just above that thing you’re struggling with – it’s far above, far greater, far stronger, and far more powerful. That’s why Paul prayed that the eyes of your heart would be open so you’d see this.

Open the eyes of your heart through faith and believe God’s Word. Believe the resurrection! Believe the strength and greatness of the power of God to give you complete victory over that problem. You can live far above all power and dominion in this age and in the age to come!

And for your sake, I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.  John 11:25

Today, open the eyes of your heart through faith and believe God’s resurrection power far above anything you struggle with. Then act on it.

Walk daily with God at your side!

David

30 Nov

David…

When David was about to face Goliath, a giant twice his size, he could have remembered how small and inexperienced he was in combat. He could have remembered how his oldest brother and his father didn’t believe in him.

He had negative things in his past, just as we all have. But David understood this principle: Dwelling on defeats, failures, and unfair situations will keep you stuck. He chose to dwell on his past victories, and he rose above that challenge and became who God created him to be.

You may be in tough times, facing challenges. The way you’re going to stay encouraged and the way you will have the faith to overcome is to start remembering your successes, your victories, and the times you’ve overcome.

It’s all in how you train your mind. When you remember the right things, you won’t be saying, “This problem is too big.” Instead, you’ll be saying, “God, you did it for me once, and I know you can do it for me again.” Rehearse your victories. Remembering the good things will make you strong.

Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.
1 Samuel 17:36–37, NIV

Father, thank You for Your greatness and power and glory and how Your hand has been upon my life in so many ways. Thank You for the countless things You have made happen for my good that I could never make happen. I will remember my victories and know that You will do them again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today, take a specific promise of God for your life. Believe it with all your heart and apply it.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

The Light

29 Nov

The Light…

Good morning! Today, let’s turn our hearts towards the Light that never fades.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him, there is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:5

Life is often filled with shades of gray—moral ambiguities, confusing situations, and hidden motives. It’s natural to search for solid ground, for something or someone completely trustworthy. John offers us this unwavering truth: God is light; in Him, there is no darkness at all.

This isn’t merely a poetic image; it’s a foundational truth about God’s very nature. He is pure, holy, and utterly without darkness. While we often grapple with uncertainties and hidden flaws, God stands apart—completely good, entirely trustworthy.

Consider this: the same God who banished the darkness of creation cares deeply about the shadows in your life. Whether you’re facing ethical dilemmas, relational conflicts, or the darkness of despair, your help comes from the Light. He isn’t distant or indifferent. He’s right here, ready to illuminate your path, expose hidden truths, and lead you into His perfect light.

Today, whatever shades of gray you’re facing, remember to turn towards the Light. His truth isn’t just coming; it’s already here, radiating from the heart of a loving Father who dispels all darkness. Your help, your hope, your way forward—it all begins with Him.

Dear Father, Sometimes, the shadows of doubt and confusion feel so close, threatening to overwhelm me and steal my hope. But today, I choose to lift my eyes to You, the Light that shines in the darkness, the Truth that sets me free. You are more radiant than any shadow, stronger than any deception, and more loving than I can fully grasp. Thank you for being my guiding light, my unshakeable anchor, my ever-present help. Please fill me with Your clarity, and give me the courage to walk in Your truth, knowing that Your light will always prevail. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

John The Baptist

29 Nov

John The Baptist…

Yochanan the Immerser or John the Baptist was in a sense the last of the Old Testament prophets. He was also a priest, a Nazarite, and Jesus called him the greatest of those born of women.

Yet he said, “I immerse you with water for repentance, but He who comes after me is above me. I am not worthy to untie His sandals.” Everything he was, all he did, said, and stood for – all of it had only one purpose – to lead to Jesus.

That’s why he was the greatest of all. His life, more than any other, led directly to Jesus’s redemption. If you want to live a great life, then make Jesus the object and purpose of all you do. Make Him the goal, aim, and reason.

Whatever you do, do it for Him and to His glory. Whatever thing you endeavor to do, or spend time and energy pursuing, if it doesn’t lead to Jesus, put it away.

Make your life 100% leading directly to Jesus – your words, actions, gifts, endeavors, and your heart. Then, the life you lead will lead to greatness.

When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. Acts 11:23

Today, make it your aim that everything you say and do is aimed at and leads to Jesus.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

Loving Others As Yourself

28 Nov

Loving Others As Yourself…

As we step into the light of this new day, let’s embrace the profound simplicity and depth of Christ’s words in Matthew 19:19. May we find joy in loving others as ourselves.

‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 19:19

At the heart of our faith lies a command that bridges heaven and earth: to love our neighbor as ourselves. This isn’t merely a call to feel affection but a directive to act, to choose love in every circumstance. It’s a reflection of God’s own heart, inviting us to see others through His eyes of compassion and grace.

In a world marked by division, this command to love becomes a radical act of faith. It challenges us to extend kindness without bias, to support and comfort those in need, and to embody the love of Christ in every interaction. Imagine the transformation in our communities and beyond if we truly lived by this principle.

Today, as we navigate the complexities of life, let’s embrace this divine mandate. Let’s be agents of God’s love, breaking down walls of separation and building bridges of understanding and compassion. May our actions reflect the depth of our love for God and for one another, as we fulfill this most sacred command.

Gracious God, help me to embody the commandment to love my neighbor as myself. In every word, in every action, let Your love be my guide. Empower me to see others with Your eyes, to offer kindness where there’s hardship, and to be a source of comfort and support. In moments of division, it reminds me of Your call to love without condition. May my life be a testament to Your unending grace. In moments of division, remind me of Your call to love without condition. May my life be a testament to Your unending grace and compassion, shining Your light in the darkest of places. Thank You for Your example of perfect love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

The Red Sea

28 Nov

The Red Sea…

Some theologians struggle with believing the Red Sea parting. They’ve theorized that the sea consisted only of about a foot of water, and the Israelites were able to just walk across it. But that begs the question, “How did the Egyptian army drown in a foot of water?

That, in itself, would have been a miracle! And which is harder for God to create the universe with countless galaxies, stars, planets, oceans, and seas or making one of those seas part in two? After creation, parting a little sea is a piece of cake.

You may be dealing with a problem in your life. It may seem there’s no way out, no way to overcome and have victory, or no end in sight. Is your problem any greater than it was for the Hebrews?

Your Red Sea isn’t too big for the God who created the galaxies. Trust the Lord and believe the miracles. Start proclaiming the victory. Then the hand of God will move again, the waters will split, and the horse and rider will be swept into the sea.

Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.  Jeremiah 32:17

Today, proclaim the victory over your Red sea crossing. Give thanks before the water parts.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Pray Unceasingly

27 Nov

Pray Unceasingly…

Good morning, and I wish you all a wonderful day! Today, let’s explore the power of constant conversation with God, inspired by Colossians 4:2.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2

When we live a life where every moment is infused with the presence of God, where the very breath you breathe becomes a whispered prayer. This is the life extended to us in Colossians 4:2—to make prayer the heartbeat of our existence.

But this call to devotion is not a burden; it’s a gift. It’s an opportunity to experience the profound intimacy of continual communion with our Creator to align our hearts with His in every waking moment.

When we devote ourselves to a life of prayer, we become attuned to God’s voice, sensitive to His leading. We learn to watch for His hand at work, to discern His purposes unfolding in and around us.

And in the watching, we find reason to give thanks. We recognize that every blessing, every trial, every moment is an opportunity to experience God’s grace and faithfulness. Gratitude becomes the lens through which we view life, transforming even the darkest days into opportunities for praise.

Today, let’s embrace the call to prayerful devotion. Let’s make space in our hearts and our schedules to commune with God, to watch for His movement, and to give thanks for His steadfast love. In doing so, we’ll discover the true essence of life—a life lived in the unbroken presence of our loving Father.

Dear Father, As I move through each moment today, help me transform every breath into a silent prayer, a constant connection to Your presence. Like a heartbeat, may this prayer weave itself into the fabric of my day. Open my eyes to the countless blessings around me, the whispering of Your love. Even when faced with challenges, fill my heart with overflowing gratitude, knowing they are opportunities to experience Your unwavering grace. May my life be a living prayer, a testament to the joy of walking hand-in-hand with You. Amen.

The function of prayer is not to influence God but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

The Genesis of Love

27 Nov

The Genesis of Love…

The word ahavah is Hebrew for love. In Genesis 22:2 God says to Abraham, “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah and offer him there as a burnt offering…”

It’s the first appearance of the word ‘love,’ or ‘ahavah’ in Scripture. This first appearance is speaking of the love of a father for his son. The Bible is about the love of the Father, for His Son. This is the first love of the universe.

This is the love that makes all other loves possible. It’s a sacrificial love. It’s not a love that demands, needs, requires, or loves only to get back. It’s an offering. It is to give without seeking anything back.

So, too, love with the same love in your life; the love that asks for nothing in return expects nothing, lets go, and sacrifices everything. Bless somebody today with total sacrificial giving and selfless love.

For this is the first love. This is Ahavah. This is Calvary. This is Jesus. This is our salvation, and this is our faith

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.  1 John 4:16

Today, seek to live a day of sacrificial love; loving, and blessing others while expecting nothing in return.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

Thankfulness and Hope

26 Nov

Thankfulness and Hope…

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17

It seems like life is constantly throwing curveballs. It’s tempting to focus on what’s missing or the challenges ahead. Yet, James 1:17 shines a light on a powerful truth: amidst life’s many ups and downs, God showers us with blessings. Each new day, each answered prayer, each act of kindness – these are all gifts from our loving Father.

Today is an invitation to savor these moments of grace. Don’t just rush past them; take a breath and find genuine joy in the laughter of a loved one, the unexpected kindness of a stranger, or a quiet moment of peace amidst life’s chaos. These blessings remind us that God is not simply a distant giver but an active presence in our lives.

As we seek Him with open hearts, we discover an abundance of reasons to be grateful. These moments of gratitude are not naïve optimism; they’re steppingstones of faith, allowing us to walk with hope through whatever life brings because we know the Source of every good gift is with us on this journey

Let’s start this day with gratitude, mindful of the countless gifts woven into our lives. May our hearts be attuned to the everyday blessings that surround us, fostering a spirit of thankfulness and hope.

If you’re like me, your mind is going 90 mph, just trying to stay ahead of the curveballs being tossed across your path. So I ask myself:

How can I slow down today and notice the small moments of grace I might otherwise miss?

Is there a specific way I can savor a gift I often take for granted?

Dear God, Thank you for being the source of every good thing in my life. Sometimes, I get so focused on what’s missing or what’s challenging that I forget to see the blessings right in front of me. Today, help me slow down and notice the little moments of grace—whether it’s a kind word, a peaceful pause, or the smile of someone I love. Remind me that You are an active presence in my life, always giving, always loving. Fill my heart with gratitude and help me treasure the simple gifts that come from You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
