A Walk With The Angels

A Walk With The Angels…

Good morning,

As we begin this day, know that the God who created the heavens has assigned His angels to walk with you. His protection is personal, it’s constant, and it’s a promise.

God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.
Psalm 91:11

When David wrote these words, he wasn’t speaking from theory—he was speaking from survival. Whether defending his sheep from lions, facing a giant with only a slingshot, or hiding in caves from those seeking his life, David knew what it meant to depend on God’s protection.

But here’s what’s incredible: the same angels who lit up the night sky at Christ’s birth, who rolled away the stone at His resurrection—they are commanded to watch over you. They are heaven’s fiercest warriors, sent by the King of Kings to guard you every step of the way.

This doesn’t mean we won’t face trials. Life’s challenges will come, just as they did for David. But we can stand firm, knowing that in our darkest valleys and toughest battles, we are never alone. Today, let this truth sink deep into your heart: you are protected by heaven’s mightiest, at the command of a Father who loves you beyond measure.

Dear God, There are days when the battles around me feel too great, and my strength feels so small. But I know I’m not facing any of it alone. Thank You for surrounding me with Your mighty angels—those who sang at Jesus’ birth and stood guard at His resurrection. When fear rises, help me remember that I am held by Your love, protected by heaven’s fiercest. Let this truth calm my heart and fill me with courage, knowing that with You, no battle is too big because Your love for me knows no bounds. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will care for you tomorrow and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Fruit of Love

Fruit of Love…

Have you ever seen a bowl of fruit that looks delicious only to find out that it’s wax? Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

The problem is that many believers choose to have wax fruit instead of real fruit. They act loving, good, kind, and joyful instead of actually being these things. So, too, we often try to manufacture love instead of letting love grow.

We try to fashion a life of goodness from the outside by doing good things instead of the inside-out of the Spirit. We end up with a life of wax fruits of the Spirit. But the fruits of the Spirit are real fruit, not wax.

Don’t act fruitful; instead, learn to become fruitful. Don’t act beautiful – become beautiful. Live your life for Him from the inside out. Learn the secrets of growing the fruit of His Spirit from the inside of your heart out, and life will become sweet. Everything else is just wax fruit.

For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.  Philippians 2:13

Today, seek not to do good, but to be good; not to act loving, but to be loving; not to look beautiful, but to become beautiful.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Abundant Life

Abundant Life..

Good morning,

Today, let’s unwrap the gift of abundant life that Jesus offers us.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
John 10:10

Ever feel like life is a constant battle against forces that seek to steal your joy and leave you feeling empty? We all face challenges – setbacks, disappointments, and fears that threaten to dim our spirits. But Jesus, our Good Shepherd, offers a different path.

In John 10:10, Jesus contrasts His purpose with that of the ‘thief,’ who represents everything that seeks to diminish us. While the thief whispers lies of scarcity, lack, and fear, Jesus promises a life that is full to overflowing.

This abundant life isn’t about material wealth or a trouble-free existence. It’s about approaching each day with meaning, facing difficulties with hope, and finding joy in both sunshine and rain. It’s a life where even the darkest valleys can be transformed by God’s love and grace.

Today, we have a choice: to settle for the thief’s empty promises or to embrace the abundant life Jesus offers. It’s a life rich in purpose, overflowing with love, joy, and peace – a life that spills over, touching everything around you.

Choose Jesus. Choose abundance. Experience the life He died to give you.

Dear Heavenly Father, Sometimes, life feels like a constant battle, with so much trying to steal my joy. Help me to turn away from the thief’s lies and embrace the abundant life You offer. Fill my heart with Your love, peace, and joy, even when things get tough. Guide me with purpose, and let Your grace transform my challenges. Thank You for being my Good Shepherd, always leading me to a life full of hope and meaning. Today, I choose to follow You and experience the full life You died to give me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is not a celestial prison warden jangling the keys on a bunch of lifers—he’s a shepherd seeking sheep, a woman searching for coins, a father waiting for his son.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Closets and Rooftops

Closets and Rooftops…

In September of 1941, a geomagnetic storm caused private telephone conversations to jump lines and be aired on live radio. The broadcasters were unable to stop it. Without the people’s knowledge, their intimate words aired on the radio for all to hear.

Jesus said that whatever’s spoken in the darkness shall be heard in the light. He also said that we will give account for our words. So, whatever you’ve said, not just in one conversation on the phone, but even those things you’ve whispered in secret when nobody else was around, will be heard.

It won’t be just proclaimed on a radio station but in the courts of heaven in the light of judgment. So here’s a good rule: don’t say anything in secret you wouldn’t want repeated in the light of judgment and eternity.

Avoid gossip as you would the plague. Whenever something is questionable, remember the magnetic storm trick. More than that, remember eternity and the Day of Judgment.

If it wouldn’t sound good broadcast coast to coast on national radio, then it doesn’t sound good for you in the sight of heaven.

A fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.  Proverbs 18:7

Today, in light of eternity, let every word that comes out of your mouth be holy, pure, and for building up and the giving of life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Be Still

23 Oct

Be Still…

Today, let’s pause and find solace in the stillness that God calls us to. In our fast-paced world, brimming with demands and distractions, God invites us to be still and know that He is God.

He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’
Psalm 46:10

Stillness often feels elusive, even terrifying. Our minds, conditioned for constant activity, might resist this sacred pause. Yet, it’s precisely in the quiet that transformation awaits. Psalm 46:10 offers a profound invitation: “Be still, and know that I am God.” It’s not a command to become empty, but rather, to become full.

Being still isn’t merely about silencing the external noise; it’s about quieting the storms within. It’s laying down our anxieties, our need for control, the thousand voices demanding attention, and opening the deepest chambers of our hearts to God. This stillness acts as a portal, allowing His presence to flood our souls.

Imagine it like this: The ocean’s depths hold treasures unseen on the turbulent surface. Only by diving in, releasing our tight grip on the shore, can we discover the pearls, the coral reefs, the vibrant life concealed beneath. Stillness allows us to dive into the depths of God, to experience Him in a way our frantic, surface-level living cannot offer. It’s where we find renewal, healing, and a clarity of purpose that the roar of the world drowns out.

Heavenly Father, In the midst of life’s constant motion, I hear Your gentle invitation: “Be still.” Help me to answer this call, to quiet the noise within and without, and to create a sacred space for You. Teach me to surrender my worries, my plans, and my need for control into Your capable hands. As I step into the stillness, let Your presence envelop me, Your peace wash over me, and Your love quiet my restless heart. In the silence, speak to me. Let me hear Your whispers, guiding my steps and shaping my path. Remind me that in the stillness, I can know You more fully and find the strength to face whatever lies ahead. Thank You for the gift of Your presence, always available, always transforming. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you can not change. Prayer is a conversation you have with God about things He can change.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Fighting The Gods

23 Oct

Fighting The Gods…

The children of Israel were not only called to stand for God, but also against the gods of the surrounding nations. The first believers in the Book of Acts were called not only to stand for Jesus, but also to stand against the gods of the ancient world.

If you’re a follower of Jesus and a child of Israel in the Spirit, it isn’t enough to simply stand for God – you must stand against the gods as well. Maybe you didn’t know that you were born into a world filled with gods, but you are.

The people of this age serve the gods of money, greed, status, materialism, carnality, lust, alcohol, drugs, socialism, music, pornography, abortion, the entertainment industry, political correctness, and a whole pantheon of other gods.

You can’t stay on the fence or you’ll be swept away. You have to be strong and take your stand against them. Take your stand like Moses against the gods of Egypt, Elijah against the prophets of Baal, and Daniel in the courts of Babylon.

Be strong, be pure, be immovable, and take your stand against the gods.

If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!  Psalm 81:9

Be strong in the power of His might today and stand against the gods and idols of this world, and maybe even the gods and idols of your life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Love Deeply

Love Deeply…

Good morning,

As we step into the light of a new day, let’s embrace the deep, transformative love that God encourages us to share with others.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.  1 Peter 4:8

Love, as Peter teaches, isn’t just a feeling—it’s a deliberate act of the will. To love deeply means to love beyond mistakes, beyond faults, to love in a way that forgives and heals. This kind of love is robust; it doesn’t ignore sin but covers it in grace, offering forgiveness as freely as God offers it to us.

Every day, in every interaction with family, friends, or even strangers, we face choices. We can choose to point out flaws, or we can decide to cover them with love. It’s about extending a hand instead of pointing a finger about building bridges where walls might easily rise.

Today, let’s embrace this incredible love. Let’s choose to see potential in others and offer healing grace. As we practice this transformative love, we’ll not only change the world around us, but we’ll become radiant reflections of God’s own unconditional love – the kind of love that transforms, the kind of love that genuinely covers a multitude of sins.

Does your love genuinely radiate his grace, offering hope and transformation to those around you?

Dear God, Help me embrace Your call to love deeply, beyond the visible faults and the mistakes we all make. Grant me a heart generous enough to see the potential in others, just as You see in me. Give me the strength to offer kindness instead of criticism and to build connections where there could be walls. As I go through today, let me be a bridge-builder in this divided world, reflecting Your transformative love in every interaction. May my actions not only heal others but also change my own heart, making it more like Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Do you know what hurts so very much? It’s love. Love is the strongest force in the world, and when it is blocked, that means pain. There are two things we can do when this happens. We can kill that love so that it stops hurting. But then, of course, part of us dies, too. Or we can ask God to open up another route for that love to travel.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

Heavens Gate and Your Life

22 Oct

Heavens Gate and Your Life…

What will the kingdom of God be like? Isaiah 60:11 says, “Your gates will be open continually; they will not be shut day or night.” Revelation 21:25 says, “And the gates of it will not be shut at all by day: for there will be no night there.”

One of the main characteristics of God’s kingdom is the open gate; there is no more need for closing or defensiveness. The gates are open. If heaven is characterized by an open gate, and if you want to live a heavenly life, it has to be characterized by an open gate – or rather, an open heart.

So whenever you close your heart in bitterness, anger, self-pity, conflict, or strife, the one you cripple the most is yourself because you’re closing the gate to God’s love. It will prevent you from ever knowing the heavenly life you were meant to know.

If you want to live a heavenly life, there’s only one way. Open the gate of your life through repentance, forgiveness, and love. The treasures of God’s love will flow into your heart, and your life will become like heaven.

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.  Ephesians 4:31

Today, open your heart by faith and allow God’s love to flow through it. Let it transform your life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

Think Before You Speak

21 Oct

Think Before You Speak…

Good morning,

As we begin this day, let’s turn our hearts to the wise words of Ecclesiastes 5:2. May this verse guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions as we seek to honor God in all we do.

Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven, and you are on earth, so let your words be few.   Ecclesiastes 5:2

In a world that often celebrates quick wit and clever comebacks, Ecclesiastes 5:2 offers a counter-cultural invitation: to approach God with reverence, to speak with intention, and to listen with humility.

Here, we are reminded that when we come before God, we are stepping into the presence of the Almighty, the One who dwells in heavenly places. In light of His majesty, our posture should be one of awe and reverence, not hasty speech or impulsive promises.

This call to let our words be few is not a command to remain silent, but rather an invitation to weigh our words carefully, to speak from a place of sincerity and truth. It’s a reminder that God is more interested in the condition of our hearts than the eloquence of our speech.

As we navigate the joys and challenges of this day, let’s approach God with a heart that is quick to listen, slow to speak, and eager to honor Him in all we say and do. Let’s remember that in the presence of the King of Kings, our words matter, but our hearts matter even more.

In what areas of your life do you need to practice speaking less and listening more?

Dear Heavenly Father, As I come before You today, filled with awe and reverence, I ask for forgiveness for times I’ve spoken hastily or carelessly in Your presence. Teach me to approach You with humility, weighing my words and speaking from a place of sincerity and truth. Help me to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and always eager to honor You. May my words be few, but deeply felt, and may my heart always reflect Your grace and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Before you speak, it is necessary for you to listen, for God speaks in the silence of the heart.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Plan B

21 Oct

Plan B…

A young preacher in England who had a heart for the poor and unsaved was offered a preaching position in a local Methodist church. His health was very poor and his doctor advised against it, but he decided to glorify God in his weakness and trust the Lord to do the rest.

His name was William Booth. He not only became a local preacher, but also founded the Salvation Army and oversaw its spread around the world. General William Booth lived to 83 and never stopped ministering in strenuous labor among London’s poorest. He became renowned as one of the greatest saints of history.

If you are to serve the Lord, you will have obstacles and discouragements and voices telling you that you can’t do it. Don’t ever accept discouragement from serving the Lord or doing great things for His kingdom. There’s always a way to glorify God and have victory.

The world will tell you that you can’t do it, but Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me.” So believe God, reject discouragement, and do mighty things. For with God, nothing is impossible.

For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.” But now, O God, strengthen my hands.  Nehemiah 6:9

Today, reject any discouragement concerning your calling in the Lord. Serve and glorify Him anyway.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
