Full Awareness…

Good morning,

Today, let’s embrace humility as the pathway to a life overflowing with God’s blessings.

Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.
Proverbs 22:4

Humility. It’s a word that’s often misunderstood, sometimes even seen as a weakness. But what if humility is actually the key to unlocking a life of true fulfillment and purpose?

Humility isn’t about putting ourselves down or denying our gifts. It’s about recognizing our place in the grand scheme of things โ€“ we’re not the center of the universe, but beloved children of a God whose wisdom and love are beyond our comprehension.

This awareness can fill us with awe and reverence โ€“ a “fear of the Lord” that’s not about trembling in terror, but about standing in wonder at His majesty and grace. It can shift our focus from our own desires to God’s heart, aligning our priorities with His perfect will.

When we live with this humble posture, our lives are transformed. We become less concerned with our own wants and needs and more focused on loving God and serving others. This surrender isn’t a loss but a gain. We find true riches โ€“ the joy, peace, and purpose that come from living a life in step with our Creator.

Dear God, thank you for the gift of humility. I’m grateful that You see me not for my achievements, but as Your beloved child. Forgive me for the times I’ve let pride get in the way of truly knowing You. Help me to embrace humility, to stand in awe of Your majesty and grace. Quiet my striving and fill me with a desire to simply love You and serve others. Thank you for the true riches that come from a heart surrendered to You โ€“ joy, peace, and purpose. May I walk humbly with You always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Humility is the root, mother, nurse, foundation, and bond of all virtue.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

God’s Love Is Not A Bucket

20 Jun

God’s Love Is Not A Bucket…

Zechariah 13:1 says, ‘In that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from sin and impurity.’

It doesn’t say, ‘In that day a bucket, a pool, or a lake,’ because a bucket has a bottom, a pool has sides, and a lake has an enclosure of land around it. But a fountain, as long as it’s a fountain, which is as long as it keeps flowing, is infinite’ there’s no end to it.

That’s why God’s love is not a bucket, or even a lake, because those things have ends and they run out. God’s love for you, His mercy and forgiveness have no end, no limit, and no running out.

His mercies are new every morning, because it’s a fountain. That’s why you don’t receive it just once, but every day of your life. Rejoice because God loves you, and still loves you, and yet loves you more.

Come to Him today and be refreshed. Receive the new living waters waiting now to fill your heart again, because His love for you is like a fountain.

To open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.ย  Acts 26:18

Come to Him today and be refreshed. Receive the new living waters waiting now to fill your heart again to overflowing.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Good Shepherd

19 Jun

The Good Shepherd…

Good morning,

Today, let’s discover the comfort and security of knowing the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for us.

I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
John 10:11

In Jesus’ day, shepherding was a tough, dangerous job. Shepherds faced constant threats – predators, thieves, harsh weather. They had to be vigilant, tough, and utterly devoted to their flock.

So when Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd,” He’s making a powerful statement about His love and commitment to us.

As our Good Shepherd, Jesus isn’t just a guide to greener pastures. He’s our fierce protector, ready to face any danger, fight any battle, even lay down His own life for our sake. That’s the depth of His devotion.

But Jesus isn’t just our protector; He’s also our intimately personal shepherd. He knows each of us by name – our quirks, our fears, our deepest needs. To Him, we’re not just faces in a crowd, but precious individuals worth sacrificing for.

So whatever you’re facing today – whether you feel lost, afraid, or alone – remember that you have a Shepherd who sees you, knows you, and loves you deeply. You have a Savior who considered you worth dying for.

Lean into His love today. Trust His leading, even when the path is unclear. And rest in the truth that with Jesus as your Good Shepherd, you are safe, you are cherished, and your life has a purpose beyond what you can imagine.

He’s the Good Shepherd, and He’s all in for you. Always.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Good Shepherd, who knows my name, my heart, and every fear and hope within. Your love is fierce, protective, and sacrificial, guiding me through life’s storms and leading me to green pastures, where my soul can find rest. Forgive me for the times I’ve strayed and doubted Your path. Today, I choose to trust Your leading, even when the way is unclear. Fill me with Your peace, courage, and the unwavering knowledge that in Your loving care, I am safe, cherished, and eternally loved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your savior, your guide? If He is, you don’t need to search any further for security.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

God And His Baby

God And His Baby…

Have you ever felt like you don’t love God enough? As a parent, it is natural to love your baby. Yet you can’t expect your baby to love you back with the same love. Babies are a constant expense of time, energy, and money.

But you don’t expect your child to pay you back. How did you, as a parent, love and bless your newborn child? It was not dependent on anything they did. It was unconditional.

So it is with you and God. You can never love Him enough, but He loves you more – just as a parent loves a baby. It’s not about how much or how little love you have for Him. You’re not God.

Stop dwelling on your love – or lack of it – and lose yourself in His love. He’s your Daddy. He loves you just because He loves you. When you realize it, you’ll love Him as you never did before. It’s as simple as being a baby.

Keep yourselves in Godโ€™s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.ย  Jude 21

Today, stop dwelling on your lack or limitations and lose yourself in His unlimited love.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

You’re Not Alone

You’re Not Alone…

Good morning,

Today, let’s discover an unshakeable truth that can transform how we face life’s battles.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

Imagine facing life’s trials as a lone soldier on the battlefield. The odds seem stacked against you, the enemy relentless. It’s a picture of despair…until you realize that you’re not alone. Reinforcements have arrived, and not just any reinforcementsโ€”the God of angel armies is on your side.

Paul, the writer of Romans, knew this firsthand. Despite facing persecution and hardship for his faith, he boldly declared that no challenge, no opponent, could prevail against the power of God on our side.

When we’re overwhelmed by life’s giants โ€“ it’s easy to forget who’s in our corner. But Paul’s words are a reminder that we are not alone. The same God who parted the Red Sea, calmed storms, and conquered death is fighting for us.

This doesn’t mean we won’t face battles or that our problems will magically disappear. It means we can face those battles with a God-given resilience and confidence. When fear whispers, “You’re not enough,” we can boldly declare, “If God is for me, who can be against me?

This isn’t just a verse; it’s a battle cry, a declaration of faith in a God who is bigger than any challenge we face. With Him on our side, we are overcomers.

Mighty God, when the battles of life feel overwhelming, remind me that I am not alone. You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Thank you for being my reinforcement, my champion, the God of angel armies who fights for me. I know that with You on my side, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Fill me with your courage and confidence that I may face each challenge with boldness. I declare today, “If God is for me, who can be against me?” In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To trust God in the light is nothing, but to trust Him in the darkโ€”that is faith.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Be Joyful

18 Jun

Be Joyful…

The word simchah is Hebrew for joy. Scripture says, “Rejoice in the Lord always”, “the joy of the Lord is your strength”, “rejoice and be exceedingly glad”, “rejoice and shout for joy!” God didn’t have to command us to be joyful.

He could have commanded us to be miserable and we’d have to, because He’s the lawgiver. But the amazing thing is, He doesn’t say be miserable, He says be joyful. “Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice!”

Too many believers act like He said be miserable, gloomy, defeated, sad, and worried. The good news is He never said that, and therefore you don’t have to. If He did say it, it would still be enough that He gave His life for you.

But not only did He give His life to save you, He commands you on top of that to rejoice and be exceedingly glad! So, who are you to disobey God? Start obeying Him today. Rejoice in the Lord, because He loves you, He died for you, and you have eternal life – and because in God, “joy” is a command.

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, serve one another. Galatians 5:13

Obey God today and start rejoicing in your salvation!

Love always,

Embrace Life

Embrace Life…

Good morning,

Today, let’s embrace the beautiful paradox of surrendering to Christ to truly find life.

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20

For years, I thought being a Christian meant constantly striving to be “good enough.” I would wake up each day, determined to read my Bible more, pray harder, and somehow earn God’s favor. But no matter how hard I tried, I always felt like I was falling short.

Maybe you’ve found yourself in a similar cycle of striving and guilt. If so, I want to remind you that you’re not alone, and there’s a better way.

Galatians 2:20 tells us that when we put our faith in Jesus, our old, striving self is crucified with Him. We don’t have to live by our own strength anymore because Christ lives in us. This doesn’t mean we become passive, but it does mean we can rest in the truth that we are fully loved and accepted, not because of what we do, but because of what He has done.

Friend, this truth has set me free, and I know it can do the same for you. Today, let’s choose to live by faith in the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us. Let’s allow His life to flow through us, transforming us from the inside out. There’s no greater joy than walking hand in hand with the One who gave it all for you.

How can you stop trying to please God on your own?

Where do you need to cling to Jesus today, trusting His righteousness?

Gracious God, in this quiet moment, I lay down my striving. Forgive me for trying to earn Your love through my own efforts, forgetting Your unconditional love. Thank You for the gift of Jesus, who bridged the gap I could never cross. Today, I choose to rest in Your grace. Fill me with Your Spirit so I may live by faith, not by my works. Transform my heart to reflect Your love and goodness to the world. I surrender my life to You, trusting that Your plans are better than I can imagine. May Your will be done in me, through me, and for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Grace is not opposed to effort. It is opposed to earning. Earning is an attitude. Effort is an action. Grace, you know, does not just have to do with forgiveness of sins alone.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Chicken Everything

17 Jun

Chicken Everything…

It used to be that you went to the supermarket looking for chicken and that’s what you got- chicken. But now when you go to the store to get chicken, you don’t just find chicken, you have a choice: barbeque chicken, fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, chicken patties, chicken burgers, chicken everything!

What happened to chicken is symbolic of what’s happened to every area of life in modern times. Our lives are filled with choices and distractions that compete to take up your time and life: radio, television, video, networks, pads, phones, texts, twitter, emails, the web, and the internet.

But your life and your time is precious – especially your time with the Lord. The more choices you have, the more crucial it is to clearly choose to give your time only to what is best. If you don’t, your hours, days, and years will be wasted.

The best that you can seek is God’s will. That’s why Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God.” Your years are too precious to be given to anything but the best, and only one thing is best. All the rest is chicken bits.

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.ย  Micah 7:7

Today, choose to give your time only to what God’s best is.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Pass Over The Load

Pass Over The Load…

Today, let’s trade our worries for a gift: peace that surpasses all understanding. It’s closer than you think.

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

In a world that often equates worry with responsibility, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of our anxieties. But 1 Peter 5:7 offers a liberating truth: letting go and trusting God isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s the ultimate act of faith.

Imagine your worries as stones in a backpack you’ve been carrying. Each stone represents a different anxiety โ€“ a financial burden, a relationship strain, a fear for the future. Casting your anxieties on God means taking each stone out, naming it, and placing it in His capable hands.

The relief is immediate, not because the situation changes instantly, but because you’re no longer carrying the weight alone. It’s a daily practice, a conscious choice to trust that God cares deeply for you and is more than able to handle your burdens.

As you release each stone, remember that you are loved beyond measure. God’s peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding, will fill the space where worry once resided. This peace doesn’t ignore the reality of your problems; it empowers you to face them with courage and hope, knowing that you are never alone.

Father, Today, I’m handing over my worries to You. It’s not always easy to let go, but Your word in 1 Peter 5:7 offers such a comforting promise โ€“ that You care for me deeply. Help me to remember that no concern is too small for Your attention or too big for Your power. In the busyness of life, remind me to pause and breathe in Your peace. When anxiety tries to take hold, let me find solace in Your presence. Teach me to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You hold my future. May Your strength be my anchor and Your love, my shield. And as I move through this day, let my heart be light, filled with joy and gratitude for the blessing of knowing You’re always by my side. In Jesusโ€™ name, Amen.

God doesn’t need a lot to do a lot. All David had was five stones. And all David used was one.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

The Lightness of Jesus

16 Jun

The Lightness of Jesus…

Most people in America weigh more than they should, or want to. We have all sorts of diets, because it’s not healthy to go through life with a heavy body. Neither is it healthy to go through life with a heavy spirit.

When you partake of things like gloom, bitterness, negativity, worry, selfishness, frustration, pride, worldliness, hopelessness, and fear, these things make your spirit heavy.

So go on Jesus’s diet. He said, “Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I’ll give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you shall find rest for your souls because my yoke is easy and my load is light.”

This is Jesus’s diet- 1: Know that you’re not alone. He loves you and He cares for you. 2: Give Him your burdens and trust Him with all of them. 3: Learn to be humble of heart, as He is. Get your eyes off yourself and become like a little child. That weight you’ve been carrying around will lift off, and your heart will become light.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.ย  Colossians 3:12

Get your eyes off yourself today. Humble your heart, and become like a little child. Cast your burdens on Him and lighten your load.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed
