Fear Not

10 May

Fear Not…

Today, let’s rest in the assurance that God walks beside us through every challenge. We’re never alone in our worries.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.     Isaiah 41:10

Fear. It’s a familiar adversary, a shadow that threatens to darken even the brightest of days. But in the face of this relentless foe, God speaks a promise that has the power to change everything: “Do not fear, for I am with you.”

These words are more than just a comforting platitude; they’re a declaration of divine presence and power. They remind us that no matter what we face, we are never alone. The God who commands the galaxies is always by our side, always for us, always ready to strengthen and uphold us.

When He says, “I am your God,” it’s a statement of unshakable commitment. It’s His pledge to be our refuge when the storms rage, our help when we are helpless, our courage when fear looms large.

So today, whatever fears may be threatening to overwhelm you, remember: you are held by a God who is greater than them all. Take hold of His promise, and let it be your anchor in the midst of the tempest. You are loved, you are strengthened, and you are upheld by the mighty hand of God. And with Him, you can face anything.

Be strong and courageous, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

Father, sometimes, fear casts a shadow over my heart, threatening to drown out Your voice. But I choose to cling to Your promise, the truth that I’m never alone, that You’re always by my side. Help me trust in Your unfailing love and unbreakable commitment, even when fear seems overwhelming. Remind me that Your presence is more powerful than my problems, that Your strength is greater than my struggles. Today, I choose faith over fear. I choose to believe that with You by my side, I can face anything. Thank You for being my courage and my peace. I’m trusting in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Feed your fears, and your faith will starve. Feed your faith, and your fears will.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Success In A Failure

10 May

Success In A Failure…

Robert Moffett, a Scottish missionary to South Africa, came back to Scotland to recruit missionaries. He preached a message titled, “Unto You Oh Men, I Call”. It was winter and only a few women, along with a small boy who had come to work the bellows of the organ, showed up.

He felt discouraged, knowing that few women could be expected to undergo all the harsh conditions of Africa, but he gave a call to the mission field anyway. Little did he know that the little boy was stirred by the message and decided that one day, he would follow in Moffett’s footsteps.

He grew up, earned a degree in medicine, and then spent the rest of his life ministering in Africa. His name was David Livingstone.

You’re not called to be a success in the eyes of others or even a success in your own eyes. You’re called to be obedient. Only in heaven will you truly know what you accomplished because you were faithful. Whatever you see or whatever you don’t see, be faithful, and your life will be a success in the eyes of heaven.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Today, focus on the endgame and put your effort into living God’s plan, no matter what you see. Be faithful and trust God with the results.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Under His Care

9 May

Under His Care…

As this day begins, let’s welcome it with hearts open to the gentle guidance of our Shepherd. He promises us rest, renewal, and a path filled with His purpose.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.
Psalm 23:2

Green pastures and quiet waters. In a world that demands constant motion, these words from Psalm 23 offer a breath of fresh air. They promise what weary souls crave – a chance to truly rest.

But this isn’t just about a leisurely afternoon. It’s about a deep, soul-level restoration that can only be found in the presence of our Shepherd. David, who penned these words, knew the heart of a shepherd – sheep need safety, comfort, and trust before they’ll rest.

It’s no different for us. To experience true rest, we need to trust our Shepherd, believing He knows what’s best and will lead us to the places we need. Sometimes, this means letting go of our own plans and agendas, following Him even when the path seems uncertain.

The beautiful promise is this: His paths always lead to abundance. Green pastures and quiet waters aren’t just a brief respite – they’re the very things our souls need to thrive.

So today, amidst the whirlwind of life, know that your Shepherd invites you to rest. Surrender to His care. Trust His leading. And may you discover the refreshment and renewal that pave the way for all that lies ahead.

The 23 Psalm is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. You all should read it and let it envelope you into it.

Dear Lord, My soul longs for some quiet time with You. Help me find moments of stillness and surrender my worries at Your feet. Guide me to those peaceful places where my spirit can rest. Deep down, I trust in Your perfect plan for me, even when the path seems uncertain. Lead me to that place of rest and renewal, where I can truly recharge. Thank you for being my Shepherd and for always knowing what’s best for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Manifesting Jesus

9 May

Manifesting Jesus…

When I was five, I cut out little pieces of cardboard and pasted them together to make a bus with windows, wheels, and little seats. I put it in my back pocket to bring it to school for show-and- tell.

When it was time, I stood up and reached into my pocket to proudly display my cardboard bus, but all I found were cardboard pieces. It was demolished, having been sat upon; my first great scholastic achievement was destroyed. I ended up telling them all about the bus instead of showing them. I was all tell and no show.

Show-and- tell is also our first big assignment as children of God. It’s a crucial part of the Great Commission. We’re told to love not only in word, but in deed. You’re to tell the world the Gospel, but that’s not enough-you have to show them the Gospel.

Show them Jesus in your life, your home, your manner, your emotions, your relationships, your joy, your love, the way you treat others, and in your peace. They won’t be able to help seeing. It’s as simple as show-and- tell.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17

Today, don’t only speak Jesus, show Jesus in everything you do. Make your life a show-and- tell about Jesus.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼

The Royal Gathering

8 May

The Royal Gathering…

On the 50th anniversary celebration of the United Nations, leaders from all over the world came to celebrate. It was said that there were more leaders gathered there at that time than had ever gathered anywhere in the history of man.

As impressive as that must have been to the world, there’s a gathering much more awesome and much more royal. In I Peter, it says, “But you are a royal priesthood”.

God’s children are royalty and whenever they gather, it’s a royal occasion. From the largest church service to the smallest fellowship of two people gathered in His Name, it’s a royal occasion.

If you were invited to a royal occasion, most likely you’d cancel anything you’d planned and go. Well, how much more should you treasure the gathering together of His children, the saints? It’s a royal gathering.

It’s written, “Do not forsake the gathering,” because that prayer meeting, ministry event, or worship service is a royal event. So, cherish the fellowship of the saints.

Show honor and reverence to one another befitting a most royal occasion, for the children of God are more royal than royalty.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.  Matthew 18:20

Live today as a royal heir- walk royal, talk royal, think royal, live royal in the royalty of your Father, the King, and come together this week in a gathering of royalty!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Darkness Becomes Light

7 May

Darkness Becomes Light…

Today, let’s find comfort in God’s light! Remember, even in our darkest moments, God’s love and presence shine through, turning our darkness into light.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
Psalms 139:11-12

In our darkest moments, when life’s shadows stretch long, it’s easy to feel alone and unseen, even hidden from the eyes of God. Yet, Psalm 139:11-12 offers a beacon of hope, reminding us that no darkness can extinguish God’s love.

To our Heavenly Father, even the darkest night shines bright as day. No corner of our hearts, no struggle, and no unspoken hurt escapes His loving gaze. Even when we feel lost or broken, God sees us clearly and welcomes us into His embrace.

This truth is both comforting and challenging. Comforting, because we are never truly alone, never beyond God’s unfailing love. Challenging, because it calls us to live authentically, trusting that He loves us wholeheartedly, just as we are.

So today, whatever darkness you face, hold onto the promise: you are fully seen, deeply known, and unconditionally loved by your Heavenly Father. Let His light displace the shadows, and find the courage to be fully known and loved. In His light, no darkness can prevail. You are His, now and forever.

Can you invite God’s light into those areas and trust in His loving embrace?

Heavenly Father, In the depths of our struggles, when shadows stretch long, it can be hard to feel Your nearness. Yet, your love shines as a beacon of hope, piercing even the darkest night. Help us to remember Your unwavering presence. Grant us courage to bring our shadowed places into Your light. Guide us, embrace us, and remind us that we are always seen, deeply known, and eternally loved by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Darkness can not drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate can not drive out hate; only love can do that.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Wholeheartedly

Wholeheartedly…

As the new day unfolds, let’s embrace the promise of Jeremiah 29:13, reminding us that when we seek God wholeheartedly, we find Him. Today, let this truth guide our steps and thoughts, encouraging us to look for God in every moment, in every encounter.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.     Jeremiah 29:13

In the journey of our lives, the pursuit of God is the beacon that guides every moment, every challenge, and every joy. Jeremiah 29:13 extends an invitation to a purposeful exploration, promising that when we seek God wholeheartedly, we will indeed find Him. This pursuit is not about passive observation but about an active, fervent engagement that requires our complete focus and deepest longing.

Imagine this pursuit not as a burdensome task but as the unfolding of a divine mystery, where each step brings us closer to the heart of God. It’s in the quiet whispers of prayer, in the reflection of scripture, and in the beauty of creation that we find Him. This pursuit is as much about the journey as it is about the destination; it’s about becoming more attuned to God’s presence in the here and now, recognizing His fingerprints in every aspect of our existence.

This wholehearted seeking does more than just bring us closer to God; it transforms us from the inside out. It molds our character, shapes our desires, and aligns our will with His. As we embark on this sacred quest, let us do so with the assurance that God is not hiding from us but is revealed in the fullness of our earnest seeking.

What practical steps can you take to seek God more earnestly in your daily life?

How can you create spaces of quiet and reflection to listen for God’s voice?

When you ask yourself these questions, take the time to listen to His answer.

Father, in the quiet of this new day, I come before You with a heart open and ready to seek You. Your Word in Jeremiah 29:13 reminds me of the beautiful promise that when I search for You with all my heart, I will find You. Lord, this is my deepest desire—to know You more, to feel Your presence, and to see Your hand in every part of my life. Help me to pursue You not just in moments of need, but in every moment of my life. Teach me to recognize the ways You are speaking to me, through Your Word, through Your creation, and through the whispers of Your Spirit to my heart. Let this pursuit transform me, drawing me closer to Your heart and aligning my will with Yours. Guide me to seek You in the everyday, in the mundane, and in the extraordinary, knowing that You are always there, waiting to be found. Strengthen my faith as I walk this journey, trusting that no effort to find You is ever in vain. Thank You for the promise of Your presence, for the joy of discovering You anew each day, and for the journey of faith that leads me ever closer to Your loving embrace. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.

To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek him the greatest adventure; to find him, the greatest human achievement.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed🙏🏼

The Time of All Times

7 May

The Time of All Times…

Many of us have a book to schedule the hours and days of our lives. If you’re like me, it fills up quickly. And yet all calendars and planners, all the events of our lives are linked to one event – the birth of Jesus.

When this most important event happened, it didn’t appear in a daily scheduler; not Cesar’s, not Herod’s, not even Joseph’s. There was no room for it in anybody’s schedule or routine. Even in the inn, things were too busy. It took place outside the schedule.

Bethlehem always happens outside the inn, outside the schedule, outside the busyness, outside the routine. Sometimes the most important events in life will not happen in our schedule, but outside of it; receiving the Lord, being touched by Him, being healed, changed, called, appointed, and sent out by Him.

Find your blessing by stepping outside your schedule today. Come to the quiet, to the presence of the Lord. That’s how the age began, and that’s when the most important work that God wills for your life will begin as well.

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently. For the salvation of the Lord.  Lamentations 3:25-26

Step outside your schedule today and spend time in the quiet presence of the Lord to begin the most important work.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The State Of Tamin

6 May

The State Of Tamin…

Jesus said, “Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect”. He was speaking Hebrew, and one of the central Hebrew words for perfect is tamim. It also means complete. Your heavenly Father is perfect and not lacking anything.

If you want to fulfill this commandment, you have to learn to be complete. If you dwell on what you don’t have, what you want, and what you think you have to have, the more incomplete and miserable you’ll become. You don’t have to get anything to be perfect.

Perfection begins not by getting more but by being still and letting God complete you. It begins when you stop dwelling on what you don’t have and start rejoicing in what you have in God. It starts by being still and knowing that He is God, by saying in your heart, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

When God completed creation, He rested. You’ll find completeness when you stop striving and start resting in God’s rest. Enter the Sabbath of His presence, the peace that passes understanding, and the way that is perfectly complete and completely perfect.

But when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.  1 Corinthians 13:10

Rejoice in what God has given you today. Rest in His perfect shalom, His completeness, His perfection.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The End Party

5 May

The End Party…

In life there are two parties and two joys. That of the world and that of heaven. The world celebrates beginnings- youth at the beginning of life, the wedding at the beginning of the marriage. They find joy in strength, beauty and sensual pleasure. As time goes on, the party fades and continuously moves away from joy.

Then there’s heaven’s party, and the joy of the Lord. Heaven’s party is summed up in the biblical ‘Feast of Tabernacles’ called ‘Sukkot’. It was the greatest party of ancient Israel, and it didn’t come in the beginning of the year but at the end in the autumn. God’s biggest celebration comes at the end.

The more you go on, the more joyful it gets. You have to choose one or the other- the party of this world, or the party of Heaven, the joy of the flesh, or the joy of the Lord? One is already fading away.

The other’s just beginning. So, forsake the flesh and its temptations. It’s a party that’s on the way out. Live in the Spirit and the party of God, and your joy will never end.

For those who live according to the flesh, they set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

Join in the Feast of Thanksgiving today, and the spiritual joy found in God’s party. Today make it your aim to rejoice in the Lord always!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed
