Lechem Chaim – The Bread Of Life

21 May

Lechem Chaim – The Bread Of Life…

Jesus said He was the Lechem Chaim, the Bread of Life. Bread is a basic simple staple of life. Jesus is the Bread of Life because His love is basic, simple, and essential.

You don’t need the caviar of life. The sophisticated things of this world, even of religion, will never satisfy the hunger in your heart. Believers are often prone to forgetting the source and the staple of their spiritual life.

We easily get lost in the complexities of doctrine, ministries, new teachings, and new movements. We need to get back to the bread. You may have known the Lord a long time, but got lost in the complicated and sophisticated things of life- money, relationships, businesses, careers, owning a house, ministry, pursuing a higher standard of living, or just making ends meet.

If you’ve let your life become so complicated that spiritually your heart is starving, come back to the simple things. Come back to His love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Come back to the simple joy of salvation and knowing Him. You need Him, and He alone is the Bread of your life.

Now, this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity[a] and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on Godโ€™s grace.  2 Corinthians 1:12

Renew your faith today by getting back to the Lechem Chaim- the simple, basic, essential Bread of Life. Partake of the simple love of God.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Because Of Your Faith

20 May

Because Of Your Faith…

Today, let’s dare to believe! What if your mustard seed of faith could blossom into a miracle? In Matthew 9:29, we see the incredible power of believing in God’s ability.

Then he touched their eyes and said, โ€œBecause of your faith, it will happen.”ย ย  Matthew 9: 29

In Matthew 9, we encounter a scene where Jesus heals two blind men. Their request is simple: “Lord, we want our sight!” But Jesus doesn’t just restore their physical sight; He acknowledges and honors their faith, declaring, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”

These words are a powerful reminder that faith is not merely a belief in God, but an active trust that moves us to seek Him, even when the outcome seems uncertain. It’s a confidence that God hears our cries and is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Our faith, however small it may seem, can unlock the door to God’s miraculous power. It opens our eyes to see the impossible become possible, the broken made whole, and the hopeless filled with hope.

So today, let’s approach God with bold faith, believing that He is able to answer our prayers and exceed our expectations. Let’s trust that our faith, like a mustard seed, can grow into something extraordinary.

What miracles are youย  longing for in life?

How can you strengthen your faith to believe for the impossible?

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.ย  Matthew 17:20

Heavenly Father, there are times when my faith feels small and weak. But the story of the blind men in Matthew 9 reminds me that even a mustard seed of faith can unlock Your incredible power Give me the boldness to pray big, audacious prayers, knowing that nothing is impossible for You. Help my faith to grow stronger each day as I trust in Your goodness and might. Thank You for being a God who hears, cares, and is able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine. I place my faith in You today and always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.ย

An Audience With The Most High

20 May

An Audience With The Most High…

Emily Post, known in her time as the authority on social behavior and proper etiquette, was once asked the correct procedure when one is invited to the White House and has a previous engagement.

She answered, “An invitation to dine at the White House is a command that automatically cancels any other engagement.” In other words, whatever else you’re doing, no matter how much planning went into it or how your heart is set on it, cancel and go to the White House.

If that’s proper etiquette for a call from the President, what’s the proper etiquette for a call from God? How much more should you treasure your meeting with God every day? How much more should you cancel and put aside all your activities to have an audience with Him?

How great an honor it is to meet God in prayer and communion? Greater than an audience with any President or King. He’s sending you an invitation. Cancel all your other plans, answer the call, and go to the throne room. It’s better than the White House.

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.ย  Matthew 6:6

Today, put aside all your activities. You have something much greater to do- You have an audience with your King!

Walk daily with God at your side!

A Higher Trust

19 May

A Higher Trust…

Good morning!

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.   Isaiah 55:9

Have you ever found yourself at a loss, unable to understand why certain things happen in your life? In those moments of confusion and doubt, Isaiah 55:9 offers a perspective-shifting truth.

The vastness of the heavens above us is but a whisper of the immensity of God’s wisdom. His ways, His thoughts, His plans – they are not just different from ours, but infinitely higher.

It’s a humbling realization, one that challenges our desire for control and comprehension. But it’s also an immensely comforting truth. Because if God’s ways are higher than ours, then we can trust that even in the midst of our darkest valleys and deepest questions, He is working out a plan that is beyond our wildest imagination.

This doesn’t mean we will always understand. It doesn’t erase the pain of the present or the uncertainty of the future. But it invites us to lean into the character of God, to trust that the One who holds the stars is holding our lives too.

So when life doesn’t make sense, when our ways seem blocked and our thoughts are clouded, let’s choose to look up. Let’s fix our eyes on the God whose ways are perfect, whose thoughts are infinite, and whose love for us knows no bounds. In Him, we find the peace and perspective our souls crave.

Today, letโ€™s be inspired by the profound truth in Isaiah 55:9, reminding us of the greatness of Godโ€™s plans compared to our own.

But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8

Heavenly Father, life can be so confusing, and often, I feel lost in a sea of doubts and questions. It’s humbling to realize that I don’t have all the answers, but it’s also comforting to know that You do. Your ways are higher than mine, Your thoughts far beyond my understanding. Forgive me for trying to figure everything out on my own. Help me to trust in Your wisdom, even when the path ahead is unclear. You hold the stars in place, and You hold me in Your loving hands. Fill my heart with peace, knowing that Your plans for me are good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is too good to be unkind, and He is too wise to be mistaken. And when we can not trace His hand, we must trust His heart.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Power of Joy

19 May

The Power of Joy…

In Hebrew, sasson means gladness or joy, and it’s linked to the word bright. The English word glad also comes from a root that means bright. Another word that also comes from the same root is glade. A glade is an opening in a forest, particularly where the light comes in.

So, if you want joy, you need to be bright. In order to be bright, you need light. To get light, you need an opening. It’s not enough to wait for an opening for joy, you need to make an opening for joy.

It’s like living in a dark room when there’s sunshine all around you. It looks dark only because you’ve blacked out the windows. Dwelling on that problem, trouble, rejection, sorrow, hurt, or loss is keeping you from the joy. Meditate on the light of God’s goodness.

It’s all around you. If you want joy, open up a window of faith and let in the light of God’s love. When the Son shines in, everything will become bright, and you’ll be glad.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.  Matthew 5:14-16

Break down the barriers of sin and darkness today with the joy of the Lord. Make an opening for the light of God to shine in.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Strength and Encouragement

18 May

Strength and Encouragement…

Good morning to everyone!!

Today, let’s find strength and encouragement in Psalm 27:14 and trust in God’s perfect timing.

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.ย ย  Psalm 27:14

Ever feel like life’s on fast-forward, and you’re just trying to keep up? We want answers now, solutions now, results now. But God, in His wisdom, often asks us to wait.

Psalm 27:14 doesn’t tell us to twiddle our thumbs, though. It calls us to an active, hopeful kind of waiting. This means trusting in God’s timing, even when it feels like a lifetime. It means holding onto hope, even when discouragement knocks.

Waiting isn’t easy, but it doesn’t have to be empty. It’s a chance to align our hearts with God’s, to seek His face, and truly listen to His voice. It’s trusting that He’s working behind the scenes, even when we can’t see the results yet.

And here’s the amazing thing: as we wait, God renews us. He gives us fresh strength, a new perspective, and a deeper faith.

So if you’re in a waiting season, take heart. Don’t give up. God’s timing is perfect, and as you wait for Him, He’ll fill you with the strength and peace you need.

What areas in life are you struggling to surrender to God’s timing?ย  How can you find strength and hope in the waiting? Ask yourself these questions and listen carefully to His answer.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

Dear God, life moves so fast, and waiting is hard. But I know Your timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t match my own. Help me trade my anxiety for patience and my doubts for trust. Remind me that You’re always working behind the scenes, weaving together a beautiful tapestry even when I can’t see the whole picture. Breathe Your peace into my restless heart, and give me the courage to embrace this season of waiting. In Jesus nameโ€™ I pray, Amen.

When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.

Walk daily with God at your side!

The Specificity Factor

18 May

The Specificity Factor…

Most believers say they believe that God can do anything. After all, He’s God. But truthfully, most believers don’t really believe God can do anything.

When anything becomes a particular problem or need we’re dealing with, then our anything faith goes out the window. God can not do anything because anything is generic and vague and doesn’t mean anything.

He doesn’t do things vaguely and generically. He doesn’t do just anything. He answers real and specific problems with real and specific answers, fulfillments, and miracles. He won’t deal with just anything, He’ll deal with specific things – needs, problems, troubles, or gaps in our lives.

If you want to see God do something, stop saying God can do anything and get real. Let Him do one thing. Get specific. Start praying specific prayers. Start bringing Him that specific problem or need in your life, that specific gap in your heart.

Start believing specifically for that one thing with specific faith. Forget anything and start with that one thing. Get real with God, and God will give you a life that’s really something.

Now to him, who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

Today, get specific with the Lord. Get specific with the Word, specific with your obedience, specific with serving Him, specific with a specific good work. Be specific!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Go and Spread The Gospel

17 May

Go and Spread The Gospel…

Today, let’s embrace our identity as ambassadors of Christ, commissioned to share His love and truth with a world in need.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28:19

Imagine you’re one of the disciples, standing on that mountain in Galilee, hanging onto every word from the resurrected Savior. And then, Jesus gives you your marching orders: “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Those words aren’t just for the eleven men standing there. They’re for you and me. They’re our mission, our purpose, our calling. Jesus is inviting us to be a part of something far bigger than ourselves – the expansion of His Kingdom to the ends of the earth!

But how do we do that? By sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us. By teaching them what it means to follow Christ in every area of their lives. By baptizing them into a new life and a new identity in Him.

It sounds daunting, doesn’t it? But here’s the beauty of it: we don’t go alone. Jesus promises to be with us every step of the way, empowering us with His Spirit, guiding us with His wisdom.

Today, let’s embrace our calling as disciple-makers. Let’s look for opportunities to share Christ’s love with those around us and invite people into the abundant life of following Jesus. For there is no greater joy, no greater purpose, than joining in God’s mission of making disciples of all nations.

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.ย  2 Timothy 2:1-2

Heavenly Father, today, Iโ€™m ready to answer Your call to make disciples. Fill my heart with love and compassion for those who need to know You. Give me the courage to share the good news of Jesus, the wisdom to teach His ways, and the humility to follow His example. Walk with me and empower me with Your Spirit, guiding my actions and words. Let my life reflect Your grace and draw others to the joy of knowing Your Son.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are all missionaries. Wherever we go, we either bring people nearer to Christ or we repel them from Christ. Something to think about.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Overcoming Fear

17 May

Overcoming Fear…

The biblical Hebrew word for fight is Lakham. When the Jewish people came back to the land of Israel, they had to quickly organize an army for the first time in over 2000 years and learn to fight. It turned out to be one of the most effective and powerful fighting forces in history.

You may not be a fighter in the natural realm, but in the spiritual realm you cannot be a pacifist. You have to fight. If you’re a child of light, you have to stand against the darkness. If you don’t fight back, you’ll lose because you’re already in a fight.

Your enemy attacks your faith, your joy, your love, and your relationship with God. The soldier who doesn’t realize he’s in a battle is a sitting duck for the enemy. Don’t be a sitting duck. Fight back- not against people, but against darkness. Fight the good fight of faith, love, joy, truth, righteousness, and hope.

Stop living on the defensive and start overcoming. Put up your spiritual fists and come out swinging. You’re on the winning side, but you can’t win if you don’t fight.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.ย  2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Don’t fear the battle – embrace it, in the confidence and power of the Lord who guarantees you the victory.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

A Little Humility

16 May

A Little Humility…

Let’s start this day by diving into the profound wisdom found in Proverbs 11:2. This short yet powerful verse offers a timeless principle that can transform our lives if we take it to heart.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.ย ย  Proverbs 11:2

In a world that often celebrates self-promotion and arrogance, Proverbs 11:2 offers a counter-cultural perspective. It reminds us that pride, while tempting, is ultimately a path to disgrace. In contrast, humility, though often undervalued, is the key to true wisdom.

Pride can be sneaky. It can disguise itself as confidence, ambition, or even success. But at its core, pride is a dangerous illusion. It makes us believe that we are self-sufficient, that we don’t need God or others. It blinds us to our own weaknesses and mistakes, setting us up for a fall.

Humility, on the other hand, is the antidote to pride. It’s not about thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less. It’s recognizing that all we have and all we are is a gift from God. It’s being open to learning, to correction, and to the wisdom of others.

When we embrace humility, we position ourselves to receive God’s wisdom. We acknowledge our need for His guidance and strength. We become teachable, moldable, and usable in His hands.

So today, let’s choose the path of humility. Let’s lay down our pride and invite God to shape us with His wisdom. In a world that shouts,’Look at me!’, let’s whisper ‘Look at Him’. For it’s in the quiet posture of humility that we find true wisdom, purpose, and grace.

Practicing humility means that we never think of ourselves as greater than God, but instead as His obedient and lowly servant.ย  Romans 12:3

Dear Lord, In a world that often values self-promotion, help me to choose the path of humility. Remind me that all I have and all I am is a gift from You. Strip away any pride that blinds me to my need for Your guidance and strength. Fill me with Your wisdom and grace. Make me teachable, open to learning, and ready to serve others. Let my life reflect Your love and truth. In every moment, may I point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,
