Returning To David

21 Dec

Returning To David…

In Hosea it says, “The children of Israel will abide many days without a king or prince, without sacred stone or sacrifice, ephod or idols.

Afterward, the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their King. They will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.”

The Bible says in the last days the Jewish people will return to the Lord and to David, their King. David was dead 3,000 years before that, so why is David there? David is a way of saying the Son of David, Jesus.

In the end times, the Jewish people will return to the Lord, to Jesus. That means they have left their Messiah. There’s only one that they left, Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah. When the Jewish people come back to Israel, when Israel is a nation again, know you are living in the last days.

It’s the time for the Jewish people to return to their Messiah, Jesus. So pray for them. Keep praying. Keep sharing. Keep blessing because the days are near when they shall come back to David, Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus their King.

What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he? The son of David,  they replied. Matthew 22:42

In your prayer time today, pray for all Jewish people around the world that they would see the truth of Jesus as their Messiah. Ask God to prepare their hearts for His return.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Living In Yerushalayum

20 Dec

Living In Yerushalayum…

Jerusalem is an amazing word. In Hebrew, the word is Yerushalayim, which doesn’t mean Jerusalem, but Jerusalems. It’s plural. But the Hebrew word doesn’t just mean plural, it means two. Yerushalayim means there are always two Jerusalems.

The Jerusalem here on earth now is imperfect. There is also a heavenly Jerusalem which is perfect, but is yet to come. To those who are born again, the Bible says you are born of Jerusalem-of Yerushalayim.

So we are to live in both Jerusalems now. The key is to live now in what is yet to come. Live in the perfect, finished work and victory of God now-before you see it! Live in the answered prayer before it manifests.

Live in the freedom of Jesus before you see it. Rejoice in your blessings before they come. Rejoice in the kingdom that is now in Jesus. Live in he victory that He has already accomplished.

It is a finished work. Live in what is not yet as if it were. Rejoice in what is to come as if it is now. Celebrate what shall be in faith, and you will have the blessings of Yerushalayim.

Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. Galatians 4:25-26

Today, learn the secret of living in the perfected work of God. Give thanks before you receive. Be victorious before you see the victory.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Only Voice Left

19 Dec

The Only Voice Left…

A woman, caught in adultery, is surrounded by people who want to stone her to death. Just imagine being her. She’s hearing voices of condemnation, rejection, accusation and hatred.

Then Jesus comes and says, “Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone.” And an amazing thing happens… they all leave. The only one left is her and Jesus. He asks, “Woman where are your accusers?” “They are not here,” she answers. So He says, “Neither do I accuse you, go and sin no more.”

This is a beautiful picture of all of us. Often we hear so many voices: voices of rejection, criticism, accusation, doubt, jealousy, discouragement, and hatred. We also hear voices of flattery and praise. We can spend our lives listening to these voices and worrying about what they think.

Or we can stop wasting our lives dwelling on those voices and listen for the one and only voice that matters. His is the voice that will be heard in the end. So listen for His voice and obey Him, so that you may hear Him say one day, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” John 10:4-5

Pay no mind to the voices. Open your ears to the only one Voice that matters. Listen for and obey your Master’s voice. His is the only one that will matter in the end!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always

Becoming Kadashed (Holy)

18 Dec

Becoming Kadashed (Holy)…

The Hebrew word for holy is kodesh. But there’s also another word, kadash, which sounds like the word for holy. But while kadosh is a noun, kadash is a verb. This is good news. Kadash is holy used as a verb.

For many Christians, holy is only a noun, a concept, an idea. Kadash is different. It’s an active dynamic thing. We might translate it as sanctify, but it’s even deeper than that. Kadash implies you can become holy.

Kadash means that no matter how you’ve been living, what you have done or how unholy you think you are, you can become holy -kadashed. In order for Aaron to become a priest and minister before God, the Bible says he had to be anointed. That means God kadashed him. And God can kadash you!

The truth is that none of us are worthy to minister before God unless God makes us worthy! So stop living as if who you are or what you have been is all that matters. It doesn’t matter, because holy is not just a noun, it is an active thing that God makes happen. So let God kadash you… and become holy.

For it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16

Let God anoint you today; consecrated just to Him. Seek to live and move in a continual state of holiness – get kadashed.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Waking Up From A Nightmare

17 Dec

Waking Up From A Nightmare…

When I was a kid, I would have nightmares of hands reaching up from under the bed, of running away from monsters, of falling off a cliff, or taking a test in school again and again and again.

You probably had nightmares too. The enemy likes to see God’s people living out their nightmares. It’s a nightmare to live with fear, constant bitterness or frequent depression. For some people everything is a crisis, or they’re always stressed out or waiting for the next bad thing to happen.

Living like this can be a nightmare too. Jesus gives you the power to awaken out of any nightmare. How do we know? The Bible says, “Wake up oh sleeper, wake up and Jesus will shine His light on you.”

No matter what you’re going through, Jesus has the power to wake you up out of it. So don’t live through that nightmare any more. God has given you the power to awake in light. Look up to Jesus and let His light awaken your heart to His love and truth.

This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:14-17

Today, say no more to all fears and any bitterness. Open your heart and let God’s light shine on you. Let Him break up the darkness.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Closest Generation

16 Dec

The Closest Generation…

We are living in the last days, living in light of His coming. We are closer to the Lord’s coming than any other generation of believers in history. The Lord is coming to reign as King and to judge the earth.

If a Judge was coming to your house, you’d want to make sure that it was clean and in order. If the Judge’s arrival were a long way off, you might be lax. But the closer the Judge’s arrival, the more alert you would be.

Since we are the generation chosen to be closer to the Judge’s coming than any other, we need to be even more holy, sanctified and sober. Do you have things in your life that need working on? Everyone does. Just lift those things up to God and let His light come into every part of your life so nothing is in darkness.

Be transparent and hide nothing. Keep nothing that you are ashamed of. The King is coming. The Judge is coming. So live in a manner worthy of Him, ready for Him. He is the Bridegroom, and He is coming for a spotless bride.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly live as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. 2 Peter 3:11-14

Open up, make a clean sweep of your heart and cast away anything not worthy of the King. Be in constant readiness to receive Him. He comes!

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

The Blessing of Looking Up

15 Dec

The Blessing of Looking Up…

Acts 7 speaks of the Sanhedrin who surrounded the disciple Stephen. They were furious and were about to stone him to death. But the Bible says that Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw glory.

Just imagine this scene. You’re surrounded by a murderous mob, your life is at stake, yet you are looking, not at them, but at the glory of God. How was Stephen able to do it? It was because he was filled with the Holy Spirit.

That’s the same power the Spirit gives you-the power to look up no matter what else is going on. It’s so easy and tempting to dwell on problems when you’re in the midst of them. But you’ll never solve your problem by dwelling on it. Instead look up!

The Spirit of God gives you power to look up because far more is happening above your problem than is happening around it. God is happening above it! So be a person like Stephen. Lift your eyes off the problem and look above it. Look to Him in all things and you too will see and shine with His glory.

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. Psalm 34:5

Don’t look at the size of your problem and don’t be overwhelmed. Instead, seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Look up for the battle is the Lord’s, not yours.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Don’t Just Talk the Talk – Walk the Walk

14 Dec

Don’t Just Talk the Talk – Walk the Walk…

With Grandfather being the Spiritual Leader, I was pretty much raised on the bible and came to know Jesus as my savior early in life. I also learned early in life, that just saying you are a Christian doesn’t make you a Christian. Grandfather made sure I also walked the walk as a Christian to be a living example of Christian life.

Like all of us, I have had a hard life with many pitfalls and rocks in the road. However, I have always been blessed with insight and strength to overcome them. My faith in God has always brought me great comfort and peace.

My Grandfather was a very wise man and set a fine example for me to follow throughout my life. He was always the first to offer help when he saw someone in need. He lead by example and would never ask anyone to do something he wouldn’t, in fact he would step up and show them he could. He was one man that walked the walk of a child of God. He led a simple life full of kindness, love and humility towards all. I strive to follow his example.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

Pope Francis gave us a lesson in kindness, humility and love. He is another man who lives a simple life and sets the example of Christian living to all he meets. He is soft spoken and unassuming, yet speaks with authority with compassion.

His simple, all inclusive, message to care for the poor, the immigrants, the homeless and to love everyone regardless of their beliefs is refreshing to hear. He puts the Evangelical Churches to shame for their indifference to those in need.

Gods message is very clear about taking care of those in need and it seems, to me, to be a shame that the Pope has to come to the United States to remind us to do what Jesus commanded. Somewhere along the way, the people of the United States have become sideways with what the meaning of being a Christian really means. Maybe what we need is to look in a mirror and ask ourselves about what our walk is really about. Money seems to be the new God to so many. Not quite what the bible says when it comes to Him.

What about you, are you walking the walk or just talking the talk? What act of kindness have you done for a neighbor lately? If you are like many, you will be surprised by your answers.

Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. Psalm 119:1

Be the true person you seek and lead by example. The blessings you receive will amaze you.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed

The Holy Wilderness

14 Dec

The Holy Wilderness…

We don’t generally like the wilderness or get excited about being there. We tend to get down about it, but we should get excited! For God’s people, the wilderness is never a detour.

For Israel, it was the path out of Egypt, the path into blessing, freedom. God brought them into the wilderness to meet Him. That’s where they had the tent of meeting set up. We can’t wait to get out of the wilderness, to get on with God’s will.

You don’t have to wait. God’s with you in the wilderness waiting to meet you. He’ll lead you as much as He leads you any other time. Every time something is taken away from you in your life, take it as an opportunity that you’re going to get more of God, closer to God.

There are no detours in God’s will. If you’re in the wilderness, praise God! God is there. Turn away from the situation, and He’ll meet you. The wilderness is holy. It’s the chosen place, His meeting place, where His people stand barefoot in the glory of His presence. Treasure God in the wilderness.

To him who led his people through the wilderness; His love endures forever. Psalm 136:16

Let every problem or loss or sorrow in your life become a sacred wilderness, in which you can enter to find God’s presence.

Walk daily with God at your side!

The Joy Of The Nonexistent Harvest

13 Dec

The Joy Of The Nonexistent Harvest…

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Jewish people rejoiced and gave thanks to God for the harvest He gave to them – the olive oil, wine, figs, dates, grain – everything.

They’d gather in Jerusalem with palm branches, Hosannas, and all sorts of fruits that the Promised Land produced that year. What’s strange is that for two thousand years in exile from their land, Jewish people continued to celebrate their Harvest Feast, giving thanks for a harvest that didn’t exist.

Every year on Sukkot, they’d wave palm branches, cry Hosanna, thank God for fruit they never saw, a harvest they never reaped, and blessings they never received. Seems crazy – but it’s not.

After two thousand years of celebrating a nonexistent harvest, Jewish people were brought back to their land to again reap a harvest, to celebrate. That’s the way of joy and triumph in God. Celebrate the non- existent harvest.

Praise God no matter what the conditions and you’ll triumph. For we haven’t only been blessed to receive unconditional love, but also unconditional joy.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. Psalm 34:1

Today, celebrate your victories and blessings in Jesus even before you see them. Praise Him the way through your harvest cycle today.

Walk daily with God at your side!
