The Goat Of Kedem…
On Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the biblical year, the Day of Atonement, the scapegoat is sent out from the west to the east. Psalm 103 says that He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west.
The scapegoat would be gone to remove the sins, going from the west to the east. The word for east in Hebrew is kedem. The prophecy in Micah 5 says that Jesus will be born in Bethlehem. It reads His goings forth are from kedem, meaning the east. Kedem also means eternity. Jesus comes from eternity.
Therefore, He can remove our sins eternally away from us. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us. He is the One from kedem, which means eternity. It also means east, but He removes our sins as far as eternity.
So be free, no matter what. If you search the universe, you will never find your sins again – in Him. Thank God, He is the One who is from kedem, the scapegoat.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
Today, spend time praising God that Jesus is your scapegoat. Confess all sins to Him and accept that they are cast away forever.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed
