Our Eues Are On You…
Jehoshaphat had the armies of Moab, Ammon and others coming against him. He did not know what to do. He cried out to God and said, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on YOU!”
He did not say our eyes are on the army, or our eyes are on the house payment. He said, “Our eyes are on YOU!” The problem is never to be the focus of the prayer.
It is what got you praying, but it is not the point. Problems are used for good. They are never ends in themselves; they are just a launching pad of prayer. We are to lift them up, but the focus has to be God.
God uses these things so that we will come to Him. He does not want us to figure everything out, but trust Him. Salvation is not about your problems, it is about God’s answer.
You have problems. Jehoshaphat had more, but the answer from God is greater than the problems. Let go of the problem. Say, “Lord, I do not know what to do, but my eyes are on YOU!”
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Today, look away from your problem and to the Lord. Become less problem-oriented – and more answer-oriented.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed
