Jesus’s Olamim…
In Daniel 9, the prophet is given an amazingly accurate prophecy as to the coming of the Jesus. He records a strange Hebrew phrase… Tzedek Olamim, which translated is “everlasting righteousness.”
It actually means “righteousness to the vanishing point.” Jesus must bring in “righteousness to the vanishing point.” How did Jesus bring in our righteousness?
By vanishing… by dying, by going to the vanishing point; to the point of death, to the point of extinction, to the point of execution on a wooden stake… By going to the vanishing point… He caused all our unrighteousness, all our sins, to vanish, forever.
All creation came into existence because of God’s life. So what happens in God’s death? All the old creation vanishes. All the past vanishes… All our sins. All are taken to the vanishing point in His everlasting righteousness.
The Lord calls you to go to the vanishing point. To die to ourselves on the cross. We fear that, but there’s nothing to fear. It’s a beautiful point. There the old life ends. The new begins in the love of God. He will usher Tzedek Olamim..His righteousness to the vanishing point.
As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision: “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place. Daniel 9:23-24
Today seek to find and go to the place of Tzedek Olamim, let the old you vanish with all its imperfections and let God begin.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed
