The Time Of The Fig Tree

The Time Of The Fig Tree…

The sacred Hebrew Biblical year ends around the month of September and October, the end of summer, the beginning of autumn. This is also the time of the fig harvest.

In the New Testament, we read about a fig tree that doesn’t bear its fruit, because it wasn’t the time. The fig tree is one of the symbols used in the Bible for the nation of Israel.

The fig tree didn’t blossom at Jesus’s first coming, but it will blossom at His second. For the fig tree always has its full blossoming in the autumn. And the autumn, the time of Trumpets and Tabernacles, symbolizes the end of the age.

The rebirth of Israel, and the return of the Jewish people to Jesus even now, is a sign that the time of the fig tree is near. And it teaches us this: even for those who seem farthest from receiving God, there’s hope.

Even in the most hopeless situation, all things are possible. Believe the power of God over any hopeless thing, for even the fig tree will blossom in its appointed time.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. Psalm 43:5

What situation, what person, what issues have seemed hopeless in your life. Don’t give up. Hope in God who is the God of the impossible. And take action believing the impossible from God.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed
