Deep Hurts, Our Ministry…
Today, let’s discover the beautiful truth that our deepest hurts can become our greatest ministries.
…who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:4
There’s a sacred transformation that happens when God’s comfort touches our pain—it doesn’t just heal us; it commissions us. The very wounds we thought disqualified us become the places from which God sends us.
When Paul writes these words, he’s not offering theory—he’s testifying to a spiritual reality: our suffering never has the final word. In God’s hands, it becomes the soil where compassion grows. Every tear we’ve cried, every night we didn’t think we’d make it, becomes water for someone else’s dry season.
Isn’t that beautiful? The comfort we’ve received becomes the comfort we now carry. Our hardest seasons become the holiest platforms—sacred invitations to sit beside someone in their darkness and whisper, “You’re not alone. I’ve been there too. And God is faithful.”
This is the gospel’s redemptive brilliance: nothing is wasted. Not your pain, not your waiting, not your weakness. Today, take heart—your story is becoming someone else’s survival song. You are living proof that God’s comfort is real—and it’s meant to be shared.
Dear God, Thank You for being my comfort when life feels heavy. You’ve seen every tear, heard every prayer, and stayed close through it all. I’m so grateful You never waste my pain. Help me share the comfort You’ve given me with someone who needs it today. Use my story, even the broken parts, to bring healing and hope. Remind me that I don’t have to be perfect to make a difference—just willing and honest about how You’ve carried me. In Jesus’ name, Amen
The scars you share become lighthouses for other people who are headed to the same rocks you hit.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed 🙏🏼
