God’s Love – Daily Mercies…

Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.   Lamentations 3:22-23

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed…”: This speaks to God’s unwavering and immense love as the foundational reason for our continued existence and well-being. Despite the hardships, mistakes, and potential consequences we face, God’s love acts as a protective shield, preventing utter destruction or being completely overwhelmed. It highlights a grace that extends beyond our deserving.

“…for His compassions never fail.”: God’s compassions, His tender mercies and heartfelt sympathy, are not fleeting emotions but a constant attribute. They are reliable and dependable, never running out or diminishing, regardless of our circumstances or repeated failings. This offers immense reassurance in a world of constant change and potential disappointment.

“They are new every morning…”: This is a pivotal point for our daily lives. Each new day brings a fresh start, a clean slate of God’s mercies. Yesterday’s struggles, failures, or anxieties do not taint the new dawn.
