The Universal Fatherhood of God

The Universal Fatherhood of God…

The concept of God as Father is a truth that embraces all who believe in Him. It’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others, feeling inadequate when our faith seems small.

You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:26

Whether you are a Peter or a Paul, a spiritual giant or a struggling believer, you are part of the same divine family. The strength of your faith does not diminish your status as a child of God.

“This covenant stands secure,
Though earth’s old pillars bow;
The strong, the feeble, and the weak,
Are one in Jesus now.”

Our names are all inscribed in the same heavenly register. While some may possess greater spiritual gifts or accomplish more for God’s kingdom, every believer, regardless of their perceived weakness, is fully and completely a child of God. This should bring immense comfort as we approach our Father in prayer.

However, recognizing this truth should not breed complacency. We must not settle for a weak faith. Instead, like the apostles, we should earnestly pray for its increase. While even the feeblest genuine faith in Christ will lead to salvation, a stronger faith will enable us to better honor our Lord during our earthly journey and experience a deeper, more abundant joy.

Therefore, let us strive to be filled with the spirit of adoption, allowing perfect love to banish all fear.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the incredible truth that I am your child through faith in Jesus Christ. Help me to grasp the depth of your love and to never doubt my place in your family. I confess that sometimes I feel weak and inadequate. Please increase my faith and empower me to live a life that glorifies you. Fill me with your Spirit, so that I may walk in your love and experience the joy of your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want him to do. It is the belief that God will do what is right.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
