Grace and His Will

Grace and His Will…

Deuteronomy 6:5 instructs us to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Therefore, does following God mean just going along with the flow? Yes and no. There’s the flow of God’s Spirit, and there’s the flow of the world.

In order to serve God, you have to choose the flow of His Spirit and choose against the flow of the world. It requires a choice of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

It requires choice, determination, decision, and will – and it’s all of the Spirit. Many believers spend their whole lives trying to find the will of God. But your life is not just about finding the will of God. It’s about obeying the will of God.

In other words, willing the will of God. Do you want the will of God in your life? Then, choose the will of God. Be willing to obey.

Agree, decide, and will to do the will of God, no matter what the situation. Then the will of God will be done in your life on earth as it is in heaven.

And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.  Mark 12:33

Father God, I come before you today with a heart open to your will. I recognize that loving you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength means more than just going with the flow of the world. It requires a conscious choice, a determination to align myself with the flow of your Holy Spirit. I confess that I sometimes struggle to discern your will, and even when I do, I may falter in my obedience.  I ask for your guidance and clarity. Help me to understand your desires for my life, not just to know your will, but to do it. I choose today to actively seek your will and to willingly obey it, no matter the cost.  Give me the strength to resist the temptations of the world and the courage to follow your path, even when it’s difficult.  I want to be a vessel through which your will is done on earth as it is in heaven. I thank you for your love and grace and for the gift of your Holy Spirit that empowers me to live a life that is pleasing to you.  Help me to love you more deeply and to love my neighbor as myself. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today, choose, obey, agree, and decide to do the will of God no matter what the situation.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
