Imperfect We Are…
Are you struggling to bless, love, or forgive someone in your life? Do their faults and mistakes seem to overshadow your ability to see their goodness? The problem isn’t your eyesight, but rather your focus.
In Genesis 27, Isaac’s poor eyesight allowed him to bless Jacob, fulfilling prophecy. Similarly, we need to have “poor eyesight” when it comes to seeing the sins of others. Instead of focusing on their flaws, we need to see them through the lens of God’s grace and the blood of Jesus.
As the Bible says, “Love covers a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8). Let’s learn to have God’s grace towards others, just as He has towards us.
Dear Heavenly Father, help me to see others through Your eyes. Give me faith to not focus on their sins but to see the blood of Jesus that covers them. Help me to speak blessings over those around me, even when it’s hard. Fill me with Your love and grace, that I may be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” – 1 John 4:7
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed 🙏🏼
