The Sacred Fringe

The Sacred Fringe…

Malachi 4:2 says, “…the Son of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings.” That Hebrew word, in this text, for wings is Kanaph. Kanaph is also the name of a sacred fringe called tzitzit that is on the tallit or prayer shawl of Jewish men.

Jesus wore them on the corners of His garments in obedience to the Scripture. The woman with the issue of blood was speaking about the Kanaph or the Tzitzit when she said, “If I can just touch His garment, I will be healed.”

When Malachi says the Son of Righteousness (which is Jesus) will rise with healing in His wings, the healing is to come in the fringe of His garment! You can be healed! Jesus’s Kanaph can be touched.

If you want to be healed, don’t focus so much on the healing, but on Jesus. Grab hold of His sacred fringe. For blessings come not when you focus on blessings but when you focus on Him and grab hold. For the Son of Righteousness will arise with healing in the fringe of His garment.

Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your disease.Β  Mark 5:34

Today, grab hold of Jesus, come under His wings, and receive His healing.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in faith, seeking healing and restoration. I grab hold of Jesus’ sacred fringe, trusting in His power and love. May Your healing touch be upon me, and may I experience Your peace and wholeness. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Healing may not always mean cure, but it always means being made whole.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,
