The Prince, The Frog, and The Nightingale…
Once upon a time, there lived a frog, a nightingale, and a prince. The nightingale used to sing the most beautiful of songs with the most beautiful of voices.
Whenever the nightingale started to sing, the frog would begin to croak. So when the frog croaked, the nightingale would stop singing.
One night, the prince was walking by and stopped hoping to hear the nightingale sing its beautiful song, but there was no singing. The only thing he could hear was the croaking of the frog in the distance. “Aren’t you going to sing?” asked the prince.
“How can I sing when all day long that stupid bullfrog makes those horrible noises? It’s obnoxious! It’s horrible, don’t you hear it?” said the nightingale.
“Yes” said the prince. “But I wouldn’t hear it if you would stop complaining and start singing.” Let the one who has ears to hear, hear. You don’t have to deal with that bullfrog.
You could be singing. Start singing to the glory of God. Praise the Lord, and the croaking will disappear.
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
Today, whenever you encounter a croaking frog, anything not of the Lord, start praising it away.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed 🙏🏼
