The Power of Words
The words we speak have the power to bring life or death. This bears out what the Bible says: “death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). Slander is a type of murder. When you speak words of slander, false accusation, hatred, criticism, discouragement, you’re in possession of a dangerous weapon and you can actually kill somebody with it.
Such words, spoken over days, weeks, months, and years, can break somebody’s spirit; ultimately, even take away their health and their life. But there is hope. Speak words of life, love, encouragement, compassion, and thanksgiving instead. For if words of hate bring death, words of life can raise the dead.
And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? Matthew 6:30
Jesus highlights the connection between faith and worry. Little faith is consumed by doubts and limitations, while great faith trusts in God’s goodness and provision.
You can’t let your circumstances dictate your faith. You have to let your faith dictate your circumstances.
Focusing on negative medical reports instead of God’s healing power. Let us trust in God’s restoration and healing.
Believing disappointments and setbacks define one’s life. Let us see beauty in the ashes and believe God turns harm into advantage.
Doubting one’s ability to accomplish dreams due to lack of training, talent, or experience – instead expect breaks and opportunities.
Struggling with financial scarcity instead of trusting in God’s abundance lives under the open windows of Heaven, with a cup that runs over
Father, thank You for caring for me like You care for the wildflowers. I choose to rest in faith, knowing You provide exactly what I need. I declare I will not worry because You supply all my needs. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always
Ed 🙏🏼
