God says: “Lean On Me”
Good morning,
Today, let’s lean on God as our strength and support. He is the wellspring that never runs dry.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:26
Sometimes, it feels like our bodies and our spirits are running on empty. We get tired, hearts grow heavy, and our strength seems to vanish. The psalmist understood this battle β his words in Psalm 73:26 confess, “My flesh and my heart may fail…”
But there’s a turning point, a declaration that cuts through the weariness: “…but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” This isn’t about ignoring our struggles, but finding a way through them. It’s choosing to recognize that our own resources have a limit and that God’s well of strength never runs dry. When we feel weak, He is our support. When we feel aimless, He is our purpose. When we crave fulfillment, He is the source.
May this verse be a lifeline today. When we feel weak, may we remember the One who strengthens us. When we feel discouraged, may we find true fulfillment in the God who is our everlasting portion. His unwavering love and strength are our safe harbor and constant source of renewal.
Dear Heavenly Father, Life can drain me, leaving me feeling weary and lost. Just like the psalmist, I sometimes feel my strength fading. But Your word offers a powerful truth: You are the strength of my heart and my everlasting portion.
Help me not to ignore my struggles but to turn to You as my source of strength. Fill me with Your love, the wellspring that never runs dry. Guide me when I feel lost, and remind me that my true fulfillment lies in You. May I find in You my safe harbor and constant source of renewal. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Peace doesn’t come from finding a lake with no storms. It comes from having Jesus in the boat.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
