Fruitful and Multiply…

Growing up, the local television stations used to air a public service announcement that said: “It’s 10pm, do you know where your children are?”

Do you know where your children are? Now you might say, “I don’t have children.” But whether you’re old, young, married, or single, if you’re born again and mature in your faith, you need to have spiritual children; those you’ve led to salvation and new life – they are your children in the Lord.

The first command in Scripture is to be fruitful and multiply. That command is still valid, spiritually speaking. If you’re born in spirit, you have to give birth in spirit. That’s the nature of life. What’s alive is born to give birth when it reaches maturity. If you’re spiritually mature, then you’re one who has children or will have children.

You may or may not be a parent in the flesh, but you have to become a parent in the spirit. It’s as joyous as parenthood in the flesh, and it’s a lot cheaper. So, do you know where your spiritual children are? They’re out there, and they’re waiting to be born again.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise.  Proverbs 11:30

Today, truly seek to share the love of God with another person. If you don’t have the opportunity, pray today and be ready tomorrow.
