The Proof of All Proofs…

Dr. Peter Remnant, a Professor of Ancient Philosophy, was addressing a gathering of over 1000 university students when he began speaking about the Bible. He said, “There’s no proof in the Bible that God exists.”

What a statement! But he was correct. The Scripture doesn’t spend time trying to prove the existence of God because the existence of God is known and understood. It begins, “In the beginning, God,” and goes on from there. God is. Now move on.

Too many of us spend our walks wavering back and forth, afraid to step out of the boat, afraid to take God at His word, afraid to really live as if the God of love and miracles were really true. Don’t stay in nursery school.

You’re called to graduate and do great things. God hasn’t called you to prove Him to yourself. He’s called you to know Him, serve Him, and to live your life with Him.

Stop doubting. God is. Without Him, we wouldn’t be here. It’s time to step out because in God, it’s not ‘seeing is believing.’ Rather, believe, and you’ll see.

And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.  Hebrews 11:6

Throw away any doubt today and step out in the hope, faith, love, and peace that comes from God.
