The Inside Out Commandment

The Inside Out Commandment…

Matthew 7 contains the golden rule, “Do to others what you would have them do to you”. The key is to take your selfish desires and turn them around. Follow that selfish desire, but for someone else.

What will happen is this: selfishness will become righteousness, godliness, and saintliness. Wanting people to bless you is selfish, but turn it around and do it for others, and all of a sudden, it’s godly. Selfishness can be a very useful resource if used for God, turned inside out.

The more selfish you are, the more potential you have to be a saint. The more zealous you have been to serve yourself, the more zealous you can be to serve God and your fellow man. Saints are sinners turned inside out by the Spirit of God.

If you find yourself being selfish, good- you’ve got the raw materials for sainthood. Just do what He said by His Spirit. What would you like people to do for you today? That’s what you need to do today for another. Get going to sainthood because all the saints are sinners turned inside out.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:3-4

Today, flip your selfish desires and actions into ways to bless others. What do you want for yourself today? Give that very thing to another.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed 🙏🏼
