The Palm Sunday Connection

The Palm Sunday Connection…

What was the first Jewish holy day? Chanukah? Yom Kippur? Passover? The Sabbath? No… The first Jewish holy day was Palm Sunday, the most ancient, Jewish holy day given through Moses.

In Exodus 12:3 – “Tell the whole congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of the month, the month of Nisan, each one is to take a lamb.” Four days later came the eve of Passover.

Now if we count back four days from the Passover when Jesus was taken to His death, it comes to the day when he entered the city of Jerusalem – what we know as Palm Sunday. Jesus began the work of redemption on the first and most ancient Hebrew holy day.

So when the Jewish people fulfill this ordinance – and receive the Lamb of God, the purposes of God will be fulfilled. The greatest thing we have ever done in our lives is to receive the Lamb.

But it’s not just a one-time thing. Receive Him even more, even deeper, into your heart, into your mind – into every part of your life. For the more you receive the Lamb, the more the purposes of God will be fulfilled in your life.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

Think about that sin or problem you need to deal with today. Pray and ask God to help you to destroy it before it destroys your life.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,

Ed
