The Atheists Testamony…
Madeline Murray O’Hare, the famous atheist who helped remove prayer from public school, was speaking at a college. Her speech denigrated all clergy, mocked those who trusted in prayer, and labeled all religious people “stupid.”
At the end, a petite girl spoke up in a soft voice filled with compassion. “Mrs. O’Hare, so happy you came to speak to us tonight. Thank you for showing us what an atheist is.
We are grateful for your visit, because now we have strengthened our Christian beliefs by listening to you. We really feel sorry for you. Thank you because you have strengthened my faith.”
Madalyn O’Hare was at a loss for words. The applause for the young woman’s response was deafening. Atheism might testify against God, but atheists only testify to Him. For without God there can be no real hope, trust, meaning, and no real love.
Atheists like Lenin, Stalin and Mao, even in their denial of God, bear witness of His existence by their examples. If atheists who deny God, bear witness of Him, how much more must you, who affirm God, bear Him witness. God lives. Even atheists bear Him.
Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands — remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:11-13
Think of a way today to show a non-believer that Jesus is real, that He exists, and that He lives.
