Prisons End…
Theres a story about a pastor in Communist Eastern Europe who was abducted at gun point and thrust into a car. He was put away in prison, his identity stripped, his possessions gone, his old life now just a memory. He lived the next part of his life in an underground prison.
For most people, that would be a problem, an obstacle to ministry, and to God’s purposes. But the pastor didn’t see prison as a hindrance to God’s calling, or to ministry, or to the purposes of God in his life – but rather as an opportunity.
And that’s just what happened. In prison he learned to worship, to share the Gospel, to minister, and glorify God.
You too may be dealing with an unwanted situation in your life. It may seem like a prison, or a hindrance to God’s will, and you can’t wait for them to change. But don’t waste your time or your life living like that.
Your ministry is not what begins when God changes your situation – but what begins right now, when you change your heart. Whatever your situation is, start glorifying Him, fully and all out, right here and now, and you will never know prison – only His glory.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns. to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. Acts 16:25-26
No matter what the circumstances or situation, praise God today in all things, even try singing a new song of praise to your God.
Walk daily with God at your side!
Love always,
Ed
