The Stone Of Contempt

7 Sep

The Stone Of Contempt…

In Psalm 118 it is written: “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” In Hebrew there’s a very striking word used. It’s the word “ma’as.” “Ma’as” means more than rejected.

Jesus is the stone. And according to the Hebrew “ma’as” – He, as the stone, would be spurned, abhorred, held in contempt, despised, loathed. And so He was.

“Ma’as” also means “cut off” – a Biblical way of saying “killed.” So Jesus was killed – crucified. Now, if the first part of that ancient prophecy was fulfilled by Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, in precise detail, then so, too, will be the second.

The rejected stone will become the chief cornerstone.” He will be lifted up as the final and most glorious crowning stone of the Kingdom of Israel. That’s the way of Jesus, the Cornerstone.

If you are His follower then it’s true for you, too. Every rejection, every pain, every wound, and every wrong you’ve ever suffered in your life, will be turned around and for your good as the Lord lifts you up and turns every sorrow to glory. For that is the final chapter of the Stone of Contempt.

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:“ ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.’

What is it in your life that needs to be turned around? Give it to Jesus – And trust Him to turn it for good.

The Book of Hebrews

6 Sep

The Book of Hebrews…

The Book of Hebrews is such an awesome and powerful book. Yet, if you ask believers who wrote it… they’ll give you all sorts of answers. The fact is, we don’t know who wrote it.

The person who wrote it never put their name on it. Too often, our name gets in the way of our walks and of the masterpieces of the Spirit God, and we have to get credit, appreciation, thanks and approval.

Yet it is written that a true Christian is one whose praise is not from man, but from God. It’s also written, in Scripture, that your words are to be as the words of Scripture, that your life is to be a living epistle.

If that is to be so… then let it be as the Book of Hebrews. Get your name out of the way. Get your ego out of the picture. Get into the joy of doing everything you do for the smile and approval of God and for His glory.

Then your motives will be pure, your works of heaven, and your life, a masterpiece, with no name, but the name of God.

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 1 John 2:6

Today, seek to do nothing for the eyes or praise of men. Do all things only for the eyes and praise of God

Walk daily with God at your side!

From Magic To The Miracle

From Magic To The Miracle…

When you were young, chances are…you believed in magic… magic wands, magic kisses, and magic powers. As we get older, we lose our belief in magical things.

That’s good, in the sense that the magic we were raised on is all illusion. Yet, there’s something more to it. Jesus said that in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, we must become like little children.

One of the qualities of little children, is they believe and hope for miracles. As little children, believing in fairy godmothers and magic kisses was our way of yearning for something better.

In fact the word magic comes from the word “Magi.” The magi were people who never stopped seeking for God and His miracle of new life. As they kept hoping and seeking for something better, they left their magic to find the Miracle of miracles waiting for them in a feeding trough in Bethlehem.

It’s not about magic; it’s about the Lord. No matter how many times your hopes have been crushed, and your heart broken, never stop hoping and opening your heart… put your hope in Him in light of whose glory all magic is only a shadow.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

Get into the wonder of God today. Open your in faith to receive the wonders of Heaven. Come like a little child to the throne of God

Walk daily with God at your side!

Secret Of The Apostles

4 Sep

Secret Of The Apostles…

In Acts 5:12, it’s written: ‘And at the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s portico.’

There’s an important connection there. Apostles and miracles go together. The connection is found in the word ‘apostle’. It means the ‘Sent ones,’ or ‘The ones who go out.’

Apostles are those who go out in the Great Commission, step out in the Spirit, and journey out into the purposes God has for them. The first apostles went out and miracles followed.

However signs and wonders can’t follow, if you’re not going anywhere. You too, are called to be an apostle because if you belong to Jesus, then you have a mission. You are a ‘Sent one.’

There are miracles waiting to happen in your life. But if one who is sent, doesn’t go, then there’s no miracle. Do you want your miracles? Then get moving in the Great Commission, step out in the Spirit and live your life as if you were on assignment from God.

That’s exactly what your life is now. Get moving little apostle, and miracles will follow.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Matthew 8:39-39

Do one thing today that moves you closer to what the Lord desires you to do.

Melech Of The Universe

3 Sep

Melech Of The Universe…

If you were shrinking the universe down to a model, with the earth represented by a ball one inch in diameter, the nearest star would have to be put 51,000 miles away.

There are one hundred billion stars in our galaxy, the Milky Way, which is just one of 100 billion other galaxies. In Hebrew, this is called the Olam, the Universe.

The traditional Hebrew prayer begins, ‘Baruch Atah Adonai, Elohenu Melech Ha Olam…’ ‘Blessed are You O Lord our God, King of the Olam, King of the Universe.’

Whenever you bless God in Hebrew, you remind yourself that He’s King of the Universe. He’s King of the hundred billion stars that make up the galaxy, and King of the hundred billion galaxies which make up the known universe.

Therefore, if He’s King of the Olam, don’t you think He’s big enough to handle your problem? Don’t you think He’s bigger than your worries and your troubles?

It is written, ‘If God is for us, who can be against us.’ Be at peace my friend. Let Him take care of it. He’s Melech Ha Olam, the King of the Universe.

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22

Do you have a problem in your life? Give it to Him and trust Him to take care of it.

Walk daily with God at your side!

You Don’t See Him

2 Sep

You Don’t See Him…

The Bible speaks of the testing of our faith. You probably think about it in negative terms… what God is going to lay on you next.

The Greek word for testing or a trial means ‘EXPERIMENT.’ Our English word ‘Experiment’ comes from the Latin – ‘Ex-Peritus’ which means ‘To Try Out.’

It means you have to TRY OUT your faith. You have to use it, prove it – experiment with it. God gave us wings, but most believers keep their wings all locked up. They’ll say they believe that the wings work, but deep down, they’re not really sure.

The Bible says that faith must be tested… must be tried out. Your faith is never based on experience, but it must produce experience. You have to experience the real power of God.

However, if you want to experience it, you have to experiment with it. The Lord says, ‘Test me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven.’

Therefore put on your lab coat and start experimenting into the power of God in your life. Take out your wings, try them out, and start flying.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Stretch your faith today and see what the Lord will do.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Our Weapons Of Grace

1 Sep

Our Weapons Of Grace…

John 13:34 – “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Simple and straightforward right? Then why is it we, as Christians, have so much trouble finding in our hearts to love one another?

Grandfather would always remind us that when Jesus walked the earth He never had a problem loving people or sharing love with anyone. That brings us to the theme of a Christian life – Love and Respect.

We are always going to find something or someone to disagree with and often we tend to get a tad judgemental when they look, talk and think differently than we do.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12

If we treat everyone as we would like to be treated, we are showing respect for them as individuals to have their thoughts and beliefs as we would like them to respect ours.

Grandfather always preached the golden rule: Treat others as you would like to be treated. Respect others and they will respect you. Then he added this statement: No matter what you do or no matter what you say, love isn’t love until you give it away.

So that brings us to our weapons of grace.. Love and Respect. We are commanded to go out into the world to share His message and light our lights so others can see Him and open their hearts to Him. We do this through grace using love and respect.

Our job is to lift others up and shine our lights, not tell them how wrong they are. We are living examples of Jesus, so we need to live our life as He did.

1 Peter 4:8: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Ephesians 5:21: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Walk daily with God at your side!

Love always,
